  1. I have to think on that. Maybe 10% better than no sushi. Due to the dryness of the rice I found none of the actual sushi was edible for me.
  2. I expect these ships will be exclusively for the protected Norway Unesco areas given the forthcoming restrictions.
  3. Yes I did that but I personally prefer biting into bigger pieces. I felt like I had to take a good 15 pieces to get anywhere near the quantity I enjoy i a good sashimi meal. Overall the Sushi bar was disappointing.
  4. We sailed on R class in a PH cabin. It was great. The ability to regularly see people was also great. What I did not like was there was only one laundry room on deck 7. There are no bathrooms by the horizon lounge. You have to outside to the front of the ship which can be difficult in bad weather or down a floor. The main lounge has only single person bathrooms. The Terrace Grill is small and had limited selection IMHO compared to O class and other cruise lines.
  5. I was on the Bali to Sydney sailing in May on Regatta and found the rice to be dry with no flavor. I was also disappointed in how thin the salmon and tuna cuts were. Definitely a low point.
  6. My wife and I completely burned through our 5GB on our last cruise. I was negotiating and signing a solar panel expansion contract, Checking security cameras during heavy rainfall in our area, calling for Ubers, general map tools.
  7. I am a fan of T-Mobile because of all the third party discounts which for me effectively make it cheaper. I chose to upgrade to Magenta Max 55+ with my wife because of: International text and Data + 5GB of high speed data abroad Included Netflix Included Apple TV+ Free year of AAA Free year of Paramount Plus and other stuff Now others may not stream and so that may not be of value but it is to us.
  8. We had 8065 which is on the opposite side just before Aft. Had no problem with it.
  9. And please share here what you find out!
  10. Our 3rd Venice day which should correlate to the embarking Venice people is a much larger list:
  11. It's not booked as a back to back. It is Italy the Adriatic and Greece but the way they do things it could probably be booked as individual legs. However what you say makes some sense on the other hand It's Venice people want to make larger plans in advance especially if private tours are involved.
  12. Booking just opened up for our sailing and I notice they have a day on your own included excursion that runs from like 12:45PM to 8:45PM and drops you off at Palazzo Cornoldi for the first day which we signed up for. The third day has an early one from 7:30AM to 3:30PM. No excursions are yet listed from day 2 which is kind of weird.
  13. They want you to talk in person and not on your iPad.
  14. The closest wording on our recent Travelguard policy for missed ports was "Natural Disasters". So it's possible turbulence would fit under that but in our case it was biofouling which is IMHO not a natural disaster as it could have been prevented.
  15. +1 on this. We are doing an Athens to Rome with a 3 day layover in Venice and are trying to figure options that don’t wear us out! mutant is on my wife’s list as well.
  16. We just sailed Regatta round Australia and to Tasmania. It was bumpy at times but we never had problems sleeping and we were next to the aft cabins. Sometimes walking was a problem. I think its more about weather messing with the seas. We did a NYC to Quebec cruise in 2016 and were chased up the coast by a hurricane on the Crown Princess. Needless to say the bed was tiling at least 30 degrees while we tried to sleep.
  17. I don't know I agree with a lot of Jim's comments. Although I have not sailed Seabourn yet the retractable pool cover is a pretty nice luxury especially for northern climates. The idea of a pool that we can enjoy in any non turbulent weather is quite attractive.
  18. When I put in the date range Jim referenced in 2018 nothing showed.
  19. FYI I tried doing that search and nothing shows.
  20. Diamond princess also installed bidets in the staterooms for the Japanese market. https://www.usatoday.com/story/cruiselog/2014/07/12/japan-cruise-toilets-princess/12564315/
  21. So itinerary and destination ports are not that important.
  22. We just most of the Australia loop on Oceania on a last minute booking. Looking at the itinerary it's pretty must the same except they do not do the Penguin Parade stop at Philips Island. I considered that one of the highlights. The other thing Oceania was not able to provide was the camel excursion at Broome. I see Viking is skipping that port altogether. It's not clear to me what they are providing itinerary wise over the competition?
  23. We were on that cruise with you and were initially very excited based upon all the marketing and fans. We felt it did not live up to the hype as well. We agree with your comments on Toscana and also felt the Terrace was extremely limited in selection especially when they effectively duped many of the foods on both sides of the hot grill side in a number of cases. It also seemed to be almost all destination focused. For a 3+ week cruise I expected more variety and not just Indonesian food.
