  1. Thanks! Will check it out! I was finishing the aforementioned Anthem cruise when you were embarking on this, so I missed it. Thank you!
  2. Thanks. That is ugh about Blu - I'd rather eat earlier. 😞 (Weirdly on Disney I prefer late dining, but everywhere else I like eating earlier.)
  3. Thanks. That's annoying about golf in Eden. That was my quiet place to curl up during the day with a book on the Edge in 2020.
  4. I'm scheduled on an ABC cruise on the Beyond this summer. Looking at it on the website, it's basically full - only a handful of solo IVs and a few suites are available. I had a not super great experience on the Anthem of the Seas in February with a completely full ship, so this is making me pretty nervous. I'm in Aqua, so there's that advantage - BUT Aqua is totally sold out as well. So... Has anyone else been on a totally full Beyond (or Ascent since they're pretty much twins)? How bad was it??
  5. It is supposed to be on a space-available basis. If Aqua is sold out, it may be more difficult (or I'd hope it would be) since Blu is the assigned Aqua dining room. ETA - I make that parenthetical comment as someone in Aqua on a sailing this summer where Aqua is sold out. I seriously hope that they take that into account when deciding whether to seat Suite guests.
  6. This is exactly what I do. Yes, I'm on WW but that is a program for living, not dieting. I will do stairs as much as possible and use the walking track, and I'll be aware of what I'm eating and do some things like ask that my servers not bother with heating up gluten-free bread for me at dinner (easy since I'm usually solo...or with my parents who are gluten-eating, so they can have their bread and I'm not tempted), but I don't deny myself. One week (or 8 days in the case of my last and next cruises) is not going to make or break me. I know how to get back on track.
  7. SV means sunset veranda. That means at the aft of the ship. There won't be a Sunset Veranda at a forward or midship location.
  8. No. Standard gratuities cover servers in the MDR(s) and those working in the OVC and other no extra fee places.
  9. Recommendations? I'll be staying in that area prior to my Beyond cruise this summer.
  10. I just looked and Reflection is out of Ft. Lauderdale and Beyond is out of Miami for next summer (2025).
  11. I've never seen Celebrity use that term. (Or Disney, which is what I have most of my cruises on.) I'd still just say the buffet rather than trying to be fancy.
  12. Thanks. That's what I thought. That's why I was confused when the OP said they ate lunch mostly "in the lido". I was trying to figure out why (and how) they were eating in the pool.
  13. Oh. I'd only heard "lido" in reference to the pool. Hence my confusion. Especially since Celebrity doesn't use the term for the pool deck. I've only seen it on Princess.
  14. Sorry to be dense, but in the what?
  15. I'm on the 4th, so yeah. I was mid-sentence and just kind of stopped for the duration. LOL.
  16. Yup. We were all a bit nuts at school. Thankfully the eclipse will be starting during bussing and peaking once we're home.
  17. It was like half the force of the quake in Taiwan. I wouldn't expect them to look similar.
  18. I've often found that ship WiFi struggles until I put the phone on airplane mode. If you're struggling with it, there will be people around on the first day to help people switch to the ship's WiFi (even those who don't have a package use it for accessing the app). Stop stressing so much. πŸ™‚
  19. Felt it in Brooklyn! I was in the middle of the floor doing a lesson with my kiddos and just stopped, then my para and I looked at each other and were like "WHAT was that??"
  20. Thought of this thread when I saw this…
  21. Thanks for the reports! I'll be on the Beyond for an ABC cruise in July - merely Aqua Class, not a suite. πŸ™‚
