Thanks all. Decided to go ahead and book online today

I am sailing on the Allure in Oct 2018. I know the cruise I would like to take in Nov 2019. What if any is the advantage of booking onboard while on the Allure. Other info: Lots of rooms for the Nov 2019 still available, so not worried about selling out, not picky about a certain cabin, currently the RCL site has a refundable deposit option which seems rare nowadays, and I am a Diamond member. Thanks.

To the OP: Please do some internet research on these facilities before your book. Of course it is your choice, but make a fully informed choice about what you are experiencing, and exposing your loved ones to.

Quit promoting the image of the "ugly Americans" who travel to foreign countries then IGNORE their laws.

If you really want folks to read, Maybe a better description in the title would be nice.
-
You are definitively not old and dumb. I too like the manual way, but it would nice to have the electronic (all in one place) way to see the events too. Actually this is my first time on a ship where you can make entertainment reservations in advance, so just trying to figure out how to do dinners and shows and keep track of everything.

OH, seeing on the TV on allure would be great. Just don't want to spend time and effort booking things on Planner, then .... poof....cannot access it once on board.
-
Sailing on Allure. Based on above post does that mean I can still see / access Planner during cruise?
-
I know that the Cruise Planner app can be used prior to sailing ...... but is it available once onboard, to see what you have booked and scheduled? And if so, do you have to have the VOOM-thing to view it. thanks.

I have never seen or used these, but will be on Allure and look for them. I would STRONGLY advise using sanitizing wipes before letting someone (parent or child), put their face/eye up to that.

I bought my parents (sailing on Allure) some OBC thru a phone rep. Will that OBC show up in Cruise Planner, and just once they are onboard ?
-
May go closer to 1........or we are on deck six, so (weather permitting) maybe Hot Dog place (right around the corner) or up the elevator to Wipe out. thanks.

But hotel check out time is 11 am.

Taking my 90 year old parents on the Allure in October out of FLL. Assuming the cabins are not ready, any suggestions on a good place for them to seat and relax/rest. I would think the eating places would be chaotic. Maybe a bar or lounge with a view. (they are not Diamond or above).

On a full ship charter (looking at Atlantis chartering the Allure in 2019), do CA members still get benefits? In particular the Diamond club with evening drinks. Thanks.

What is scanned to board the ship the first time (since both card are onboard)?
-
I heard that on Allure your SeaPass is waiting for you in your cabin on embarkation day. So....how do you first get into your cabin?
-
Going to buy a three day dining package for the Allure. From what i read if i book PRECRUISE, i still have to wait until once onboard to book specific restaurants. Any advantage/disadvantages to just waiting til i am on the ship.

Looking at 3 night dining package on Allure. Have already made 6pm dining reservations in the MDR for first night (want to see Momma Mia on first night). If I buy the dining package, do I have to use the courtesy 1st night reservation, or can I cancel it once onboard, and use my 3 night dining package on other nights (not the first night)

Have booked cabin 3578 on Rhapsody which seems directly below Next Cruise on deck 4. But getting worried that the noise from the R Bar and Centrum both on deck will be a factor in our cabin. Probably worrying for nothing, but any info (hopefully reassurances) would be appreciated. Signed by a cruise worry-wart.

Travelling with 90 year old parents on the Allure in the fall. Separate cabins, separate reservations, both thru RCL.com. Would like to give them $100 (or about that) in OBC, but do not want them to know it came from me. If they know it came for us, it would be a whole thing of "you shouldn't have" or "we'lll pay you back" and so on. Better they think it is "freebie" from the cruse line. Best way to do that?

And yes my Mom is Diamond too.

As Diamond, with nightly three drink voucher, can you get a CAN of Diet Coke from a bar? My 90 year old Mom does not drink alcohol, but likes a Diet Coke (but not too crazy about fountain Diet Cokes).
Just off Allure today!

About the shows where reservations are taken. Were there many last minute walk up seats available?
