Thinking of sailing on Allure or Harmony for the first time. So many cabin choices. Looking at deck 9, that has window cabins (not balcony) overlooking Central Park. Really like the cabin layout and that locations seem convenient for us Seems to be a lot available, which make me wonder if there are issues, like noise ? But I would not think CP is a swinging late night spot (I may be wrong). Any insights, pro and cons ?

I am blessed/cursed as an early riser, even on vacation. Usually up a couple of hours before my husband. On other lines we use a text service to ask "Are you awake yet" or 'where are you" (though the answer to that is usually a "buffet".)
What are the intra-ship communication options on the Summit and cost?
(And no, we do not call/text all day, usually just after waking up from a nap/night).

My 90 year old Dad will spend half of the cruise hunting for cookies, usually at the Oceanview buffet type place. Saw pix of the gelato area on the Summit with large jars of cookies? Free or for-charge ?
Would be nice if I could point him to free cookies on Day One.

If two Elite status persons are sharing a cabin, how do perks like "Complimentary 90-minute internet package" and "One complimentary bag of laundry" work? Is it per Elite person or just one per cabin ?

Thanks to all who responded to my post. Just called Crown and Anchor, and gave my CA number and my husband's, and now he is bumped up to Diamond also. Very easy, less than a minute. Now I need to book something

Thanks everyone, I did not know about linking status ! We married gay folks still have a lot to learn about the "married world" works !

So my husband (he is some like Platinum or Aluminum Foil), can have the same status as me (Diamond)?

I am Diamond level but most of my points came from Celebrity cruise, have only been on a five day Liberty cruise on RCL. Planning on Allure or Harmony. From what I have read, they have a cocktail hour (daily?) OR....you can have 3 drink vouchers load on your card (again, daily ?).
Since I don't drink alcohol, and my husband is not Diamond, I would much prefer the drink vouchers for soft drinks during the days. Would actually save me from buying a soda package for myself.
Is this possible ?

I have a Celebrity/Azamara/Royal credit card with rewards including onboard credit, for those cruise lines. If I redeem for example $500 of rewards for onboard credit with Royal, once onboard, can I buy an alcohol beverage package for someone else ? The credit card is in my name, but I don't drink alcohol [sober 25+ years !]. I was going to get the onboard credit, and once on the ship use it to buy my husband the alcohol package. Is this doable? Using onboard credit to buy him the package? (this assumes that what I have read, that unlike most lines, not everyone in the cabin has to buy the package)

In the Yacht Club dining room at dinner......
1. Is there an everyday dining options, like steak, chicken, salmon ?
2. Is Shrimp Cocktail available everyday as appetizer ?
3. Is creme burlee and chocolate cake available everyday as dessert.
Thanks ( We are taking my 90 year old parents and this is what they REALLY like for dining)

Sailing on Summit 11/11 from San Juan, scheduled departure time is 8:30 pm. We have a dinner reservation at 6:30. So when is the life boat drill ? Hopefully not during dinner ? How do they handle a drill during dining hours?????

Wow. So I am Diamond, and my husband is Platinum. And he will not be allowed in the Diamond lounge (most likely). Good to know in advance. thanks.

Sad that a potential wonderful experience is spoiled by inconsiderate chair hogs.

Sure doesn't look like many places to seat during movie time on the Summit's Rooftop Terrance (just speaking of regular showings, not Taste of Film). Maybe just the photos I have seen. Any comments on seat number?

Thanks for quick response. I feel so much more comfortable with my cabin choice. As long as quiet at night, I will be fine.

Sailing on Summit in November 2017 in Southern Caribbean.
1. I was excited about cabin 7000, but reading some things about the noise from a crew access area/stairs being noisy. Any input?
2. Is there really a dedicated space midship (according to deck plans) on a passenger deck for Acupuncture ? Seems odd placement/use of space.

Sailing with parents in November on Summit. Parents and me/husband have different reservation # through different travel agents. Made Select Dining reservations under parents #, but system will not allow me link my #, and thereby increasing the number of diners to 4. Called X, they said that one reservation was 'group' type and cannot be linked to the other reservation. So......we have a Select Dining reservation at 6:15 under parents # 'stuck' at two people when we want it to be 4.
Celebrity call center said could only be adjusted once onboard. Should I worry that all 4 tops will be gone? Any issues changing the existing reservation from 2 to 4 once onboard?

Title kind of says it all: X website lists the Tenor of Rock as being on the Summit. Still True?

We have two parties (each with two persons) who all have Select Dining. At the Celebrity site, trying to make a dining time reservation for the four of us. So this is the ADD a Friend functionality. ........and getting: Unfortunately, these reservations may not be combined to create a single reservation. Please proceed to make separate reservations for each party.
I thought persons in different cabins (reservations #s) could make a combined reservation for Select Dining ?
thanks.

On Summit, are persons with anytime / select dining on the first or second level? We are traveling with 87/90 parents, and Dad wears hearing aids....so looking an out of the way, more quiet table. Sometimes the noise in the MDR can be overwhelming.
And on a totally unrelated topic....is there a no-fee sauna or steam room on the Summit (not part of the Persian Gardens)
thanks.

Booked on the Summit out of San Juan for November 2017. Looking at direct flight from Charlotte NC to San Juan which arrives at SJU at 2:30 pm. The cruise departs at 8:30 pm. Usually we arrived a day before cruising, but due to some family obligations we are considering same day flight/cruise.
Question: What is your opinion of taking a direct same day flight as cruise departure in San Juan? Flight due to arrive at 230, sailing 830.
Thanks.

The MSC site says the Aurea experience on Divina includes:
UNLIMITED DRINKS INCLUDING SPECIALTY COFFEE, WINE, BEER, COCKTAILS, SOFT DRINKS, AND ICE CREAM/GELATO 24-HOURS A DAY (VALID FOR NON-PREMIUM ALCOHOL)***
My 86 year old Mom does drink alcohol, but would be in HEAVEN with 'free' gelato ! ('Free" cuz me, her son, is paying for the cruise)
Thanks.

This confirms that I never want to go on a cruise during college spring break.
Check In Times / San Juan / Summit
in Celebrity Cruises

Started my online check in for upcoming Summit cruise from San Juan. Ship sails at 8:30 pm. Says check in time for the sailing is 3 pm - 7 pm. Isn't 3 pm kind of late.
