I will be all over the place in this post. #1 Thank you for participating and helping. #2 About the hotel I chose, the interior is not like a Hampton Inn or Best Western in Virginia. This hotel from my OP is very spartan. Will my wife complain? I wanted 2 other places....one was too expensive and the other was sold out. This one is near the train station....that's a plus....this one had many reviewers saying the bed was good and the front desk people were super nice. This one fits my budget. I'm leaning towards keeping it but I'd welcome an opinion from you. #3 We'll each have a suitcase and a carry on. Your suggestion seems like 2 steps? #1 The Metro Train......#2 Nordhavn Metro Station's Shuttle Bus? Will our 2 suitcases AND 2 carry ons be a bit much for your idea? Maybe just pay the taxi???

My wife and I are doing Denmark tourism on our own for 3 days prior to our Nieuw Statendam cruise that leaves from Copenhagen on August 2nd. I've booked Hotel Astoria Banegardspladsen 4 Copenhagen 1570 Denmark. @terrydtx @Hlitner @FlorenceItaly * I successfully canceled the Flight Reservations with Flight Ease. (1-800-628-4771) Additionally, when that call was completed I called HAL's Customer Service (1-877-932-4259) and confirmed that the cruise reservation IS still in place and only the Air Reservation has been successfully removed. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Our airfare that we bought independently from Flight ease is non refundable. So for sure we want to take Air Canada to Denmark and get on that cruise to Norway. I'll just call Flight Ease with all the specifics from when I used them....and I'll cancel the Flight Ease (SAS) stuff only 🙂

Hi @FlorenceItaly To review, we booked SAS thru HAL's Flight Ease but 7 -8 weeks later got a better deal thru Air Canada. Now I want to surgically separate my two HAL bookings....that being the 1) The cruise itself 2)The Flight Ease Flight Booking #1 I want to KEEP my HAL Cruise booking that I've already paid the deposit for....and that cruise's balance is due in May #2 I want to CANCEL the Flight Ease SAS arrangements. I never paid for that....never chose seats....the money was due in May...lumped in with my cruise balance payment. I'm nervous that when I attempt to cancel my Flight Ease arrangements that I might accidentally cancel the cruise as well. That would be disastrous! Please advise me how to accomplish canceling #2 (Flight Ease) without accidentally canceling #1 The HAL Cruise. Thank you! Steve

Hello! My wife and I are booked on Nieuw Statendam ....a 7 day cruise from Denmark to Norway (August 2nd - Aug. 9th) Today I logged in and tapped on "Book Excursions" just to see what is available. I looked at two options on the first location the ship docks at: OSLO Norway Fri. August 4th Both of these options stated the excursion would have A DUTCH SPEAKING GUIDE. I thought to myself: "I need guidance. Let me call them." I called HAL's Excursion Department only to learn that unfortunately they are only available Mon - Fri 7am - 4pm Pacific Time .....................................................................................................................................since I live in NJ: 10am - 7pm Eastern Time * What are my options for English Speaking Excursions? What is the smartest way for me to research this on my own? Sat. August 5th the ship will be docked in Kristiansand Norway Sun. August 6th Eidfjord Norway Mon. August 7th Flam Norway * Please help me 🙂 Steve

I must admit that I have not researched the excursions as of yet. I am a 5th grade band director in a school district that will be closed the full week after Easter. I plan do get my act together (cruise planning-wise) during that week. I created this thread today, because later my wife and I are going to the outlets and the plan is for me to select a couple of clothing items I want to wear on the Aug. 2nd - Aug. 9th Norway focused cruise.

I think I recall a post in a previous thread about what men wear on board (not blue jeans) and I suppose in my mind I've wrongly applied that comment to excursions as well. We have arranged for our nightly Main Dining Room dinner reservation to be at 5:45pm. So I suppose I'll wear jeans to the morning and early afternoon excursion and then once on board, we'll come back to the cabin to change for dinner. No jeans in the MDR...correct? NICE dockers or casual dress pants are ok for the "regular" MDR nights? Then I'd wear slacks, button down shirt with a tie on "formal night"? (Basically a suit but with no jacket) Sounds like a plan ? 🤔

I'm turning 61 tomorrow and my birthday present is a good one! It's an HAL cruise on Aug. 2nd from Copenhagen to Norway. The average high temps in Norway in early August are in the low 70s. My wife and I have only a handful of cruises to reflect on and those cruises went to destinations that had an average high of 85 to 89F. What do men my age typically wear on a HAL excursion in Norway? Shorts might seem wrong if it is 65F when we leave the ship that morning and only hits the high temp for the day when we return. Blue jeans does not strike me as something the typical HAL cruiser would wear. We've done 4 RCCL cruises and one Carnival. This will be our first HAL experience. THANKS!!!! Steve (and wife) from NJ

I used HAL's Flight Program called "Flight Ease" to book SAS. ....so, even though I was not on SAS's website I am now never the less SAS's new customer.

Neither. Forget United. I've done nothing with United. I booked SAS and just will hypothetically check United in the near future.

I am done. The site displayed : CONGRATULATIONS! Your flight leaves in 171 days It shows my price and gives me my Air Booking Number. How exciting! Now I have to go on SAS's website....create a user name and password? 🤔 If "Yes" then I enter my booking number and select my seats? 🤔

Booking on the site now. I'm going for it! $2,978.02 Taxes and Fees included

If I book this tonight...it is added to my booking and the balance is due May 4th. Here's my question, what if we find something on our own that is better. For example United has not posted there flights and rates for our dates yet. Can I book here using Flexible Rate and then cancel with no obligation PRIOR to our May 4th balance due date?
