  1. https://www.mantitlement.com/seven-seas-martini/ Check out this Seven Seas Martini. I have not tried one yet, but it sure is a pretty shade of GREEN. Maybe a nice complement to the casino cruise?$?
  2. Bon voyage! It looks like your morning is falling into place properly. It just dawned on me that my vacation starts this coming Friday 7/7 so I may need to find a casino or at least a lottery counter in New England.
  3. 1130’s location right next to the door leading down one flight to the Sunset Bar and the buffet is very convenient. It is not a very private verandah. If that is not an issue for you, then go for it and enjoy. I found this pic online showing 1130’s Verandah in the center of the photo. Not the best quality photo, but hopefully you get the idea.
  4. As one of their unofficial rebranding officers, I am working on a deal to exchange out the Kelly balcony chairs for hammocks (sorry, side tables will be replaced with floor-standing ashtrays.)
  5. As my 60-something friend suggested, next dry dock Celebrity will replace the gelato bar with a tattoo parlor. Virgin may be on to something. Celebrity is out to get in on the action sooner than later.
  6. OK please do not get me going any further, but... My ideal "Resort at Sea" does not involve placing my fresh icy cold beverage directly on the sun's-surface-hot pool deck next to my flip flops and my end-table-less pool lounger.
  7. Thank you for that very valuable photo. The shot of Reflection was a lovely contribution as well.
  8. Either this or he was fearful for any backlash for not maintaining the seating arrangements EXACTLY as the training video represented. But who knows?
  9. I want to be you!!! Oh yeah! My Dad had to wear a mask to mow his lawn in Michigan today. But remember when we boarded Equinox? As soon as we got on board we were told we could lose the masks. And most of us did.
  10. LOLOL. Uh-hummm and at the other end of the spectrum... On a recent sailing I was politely informed by one young Celebrity pool butler that me plucking the end table from one seating arrangement to use between our pair of end-table-less loungers was not proper pool deck etiquette. I do cherish cruise lines that believe in at least one end table for every two pool loungers. True that. I lurve them Canadians. They know how to engage. By the way I was born in Michigan.
  11. Hey you two! We cruised with you twice in 2021 on Equinox and Summit. Hope you are both doing well. When are you cruising again? We board Seascape on 12/9 followed by Summit on 12/16. Twelve nights of Caribbean do-nothingness and we can hardly wait. We haven't cruised since last December. Not good news about this whole vaping thing. Sorry to learn that the rumor you heard has turned out to be true. Paul and Tim
  12. LOLOL. Absolutely no use for those here. Celebrity has archery and paper airplanes. No need for those either. I am happy if there is a pool, a bar, a buffet, and friendly fellow passengers. 😄 I would not call this odd. I would call it utterly and extraordinarily BIZARRE.
  13. Is it safe to presume that you just walked up without a reservation? That is what I gathered from your post. What time did you disembark? Was the office busy, adequately staffed, and/or flooded with inquiries? Thanks in advance for the additional clarification.
  14. Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying. Even in Europe my Celebrity fellow passengers were mostly from USA, Canada, UK, and a few from down under. I guess I lucked out with a well-rounded bunch every time. You made a comment about the odd activities and entertainment on board. Would you mind elaborating? Just asking because Seascape in December will be my first time on MSC. Thank you!
  15. The cart is a great way to do it. Bimini bread is a thing, but we never found any. There are a few souvenir shops to stop at along the way if you want to support the locals. There were mounds of freshly caught conch like I had never seen. Beaches on the south side have lovely views back toward the dock and the ship. The ship backs in which is totally cool. Great internet plan. See how many days you can stretch that 90 minutes. It would be a fantastic exercise in restraint for myself. 😄
  16. Sorry, but which two different demographics are you referring to?
  17. Friendly fellow passengers really can make a world of difference. But I have never really encountered rude passengers on any cruise ever. We are all on vacation for crying out loud. How crabby could anyone possibly be? And, if Tami is on board Seascape after having to wait to embark so late in the day after the tragic accident, and she is finding everyone to be pleasant, then that is wonderful. Of course, she is sailing in the Yacht Club, right? If she is hanging exclusively in the Yacht Club, maybe she is encountering a higher level of social refinement amongst the passengers she is regular coming face-to-face with?
  18. Your cruise is in the 7th month. What ae you doing for internet on board? What is your plan for Bimini? We took the free trolley ride around Resorts World and on the way back stopped at a parking lot full of carts. We rented one from a local character and headed for the south end of the island to do some exploration on our own. Ended up at the Dolphin House Museum catching the owner before we headed off to church. He has quite a place and showed us every inch of it. Check it out if you get the opportunity. Bon voyage!
  19. She did a back-to-back on Celebrity and MSC. Enjoy! 🙂
  20. I spy Fever-Tree in that mini-fridge. Yay!
  21. I get ized easily I guess. Maybe on my next cruise I will get YCized like the time I was Crystalized on board Serenity.
  22. I think that ship has already sailed. Hee hee. 😄
  23. Your entire review and most of the commentary that followed resonates with me. Prior to this I was encouraged by Charla's live from MSC thread. We status matched to Diamond, so were able to take advantage of MSC's incentives for our first booking foray into the Yacht Club. We will be doing a side-by-side comparison of MSC Yacht Club with The Retreat on board Summit. We have previously enjoyed The Retreat on board Silhouette and Equinox, but we look forward to trying it on board a Revolutionized M-class ship. I am not looking to uncover any miraculous discoveries during the comparison, but it will be interesting to disembark one ship and nearly immediately embark the other. The 5-night on the Summit was booked first. Then, we tacked on the 7-nights on Seascape after I got Charlacized by her review. We will be sailing glass-half-full after suffering a lonnng, land-locked 363-day cruise hiatus. We are always grateful and happy just to have booked cruises to look forward to. Any day on any ship (within $$$ reason) beats a day on land.
  24. The big news finally hit my inbox from Captain's Club at 11:48am this morning. "New ships. New islands. New experiences."
  25. Still a nice surprise. It never hurts to pick up the phone and let your fingers do the walking.
