  1. I am looking forward to learning the outcome of your experiment. Please come back and update us when you hear back from them.
  2. We alway use Park N Go, but our friends recently used Park By The Ports for their 7-night cruise. They previously used Park By The Ports when flying out of FLL and this option has worked well for them. I just did a pay now dummy booking for each arriving 8/20 and departing 8/27: Park N Go $67.34 Park By The Ports $56.27 For the extra $9 we will stick with what we know. Where are you seeing a significant price hike at Park N Go? My other question would be which lot is less likely to flood?
  3. Maybe Celebrity will extend this sale. You know they can be unpredictable.🙄
  4. Thanks to everyone who responded. The tips and input were very helpful. Flights are more than a tad eyewatering. Who has flown on Tap Air Portugal? Seems to be an economical option. MIA - LIS - FCO round trip.
  5. It kills me to pay twice the price or more of an inside stateroom for a regular verandah. It kills me to pay an additional $850ish per person for AI as well. So, considering inside staterooms cruise only. I can stand to cut back on the booze and screen time anyway. Or satisfy these vices in port. I can eat well in port too for that matter, if MDR gets worse. MDR was perfectly fine on my last cruise. And I have always been able to find something on the buffet. Sadly, there is zero dining room ambience in the buffet in the evening unless one takes a seat outside. The ship is merely a floating hotel on a port-intensive European cruise. The focus for us is on the ports and mingling with fellow passengers that we organized independent excursions with. We enjoy socializing with the crew as well. For our relaxing Caribbean cruises with more sea days, we do prefer to have the perks included. But I have to question why we should shell out that kind of extra cash for AI when there are Elite discounts we are entitled to and on-and-off flash sales on the perks. I may still book future Celebrity cruises. But if I follow through on this rationale, then Celebrity will only be getting a fraction of the dollars they got out of me over the last several years. I am looking at every potential cruise spend on a per person per night basis. There are still fair enough prices to be had if one does enough hunting and pecking. I don't necessarily require the newest ship, the most popular itinerary, or the peak season. Therefore, I have bookings on three upcoming sailings that I am quite content with the pricing with AI. I just booked Beyond September 2024 after turning my nose up for years at the Edge class infinite verandahs. Found a TA willing to book me in a Sunset Verandah with a refundable deposit and AI for an incredible price. It is surely all about money for the cruise line. Well, it is all about money for me too.
  6. Can anyone compare their experiences in Croatia during May and June vs September or October? We were in Italy and Greece last October and enjoyed warm, dry weather. I am looking at selecting from the series of cruises in May and June 2024 to Croatia that run between Ravenna and Rome on board Celebrity Constellation. Any other thoughts? Much appreciated. Thanks.
  7. I am looking at selecting one of the series of sailings that run between Ravenna and Rome in May and June 2024. We sailed out of Ravenna on Celebrity Constellation last October. We had no issue with either the port or the ship. But what about the May or June timing vs September or October? Will the weather be pretty similar during both times of year? We experienced beautiful warm, dry weather in Italy in October. Will there be more children on board in May or June? We did not have many children on board last year. Any other thoughts about Croatia? I ruled out any sailing that doesn't stop at Dubrovnik. And yes, I have consulted with the ports of call boards. Hoping to learn the thoughts of those of you that post here regularly about your frequent travel in this region. Thank you.
  8. Best Experiences: 1. Normandie (Summit ~ circa 2005) 2. Murano (Silhouette) 3. Q-sine (Silhouette) Honorable mentions: Tuscan Grill on S-class ships Luminae on S-class ships Blu on Constellation We have not yet sailed on any Edge-class ships.
  9. Along with the travel size silicone spray, I may consider bringing my own signs to post.
  10. Would a bit of silicone spray help that latch? Where could that yellow cone be tucked away to prevent this abusive use of it?
  11. Same question but I am going from MSC to Celebrity at Miami port. I am guessing Uber is the way to go?
  12. Will this thread even make it to 300 pages? Oh, wait, um....
  13. I would take a few additional points. After my 3 booked cruises I will still be 126 points shy of Elite+. 😄
  14. Exactly. What the heck are they thinking? And any marketing toward the LGBTQ community has evaporated.
  15. Royal = family cruises Celebrity = girlfriends cruises At least that is what I see in their marketing efforts.
  16. This thread provoked me to look at my signature below. I have never cruised in May, June, July, or August. I have never encountered an abundance of children. I guess timing is everything. Crowds of sun seekers on the pool deck is not uncommon on warm-weather cruises. I am glad you enjoyed many aspects of your first Celebrity cruise.
  17. No flash sales of any kind on my April 2024 Silhouette 4-night. It is a partial group cruise. I wonder if that’s why. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fan Cruise. I am not one of them.
  18. (As seen on app.) For anyone on board, is this true? I look forward to beef Wellington in the MDR. How much extra do they charge for it now???
