  1. I agree. It was all a bit silly.
  2. What time are you boarding the ship? We typically board around noon and head straight to Luminae for a burger or lobster roll. It is a great time to get acquainted with the team there.
  3. The ceilings looks really high in the Oceanview compared to S- and M-class ships.
  4. If it is a short cruise, park at the port. Garage is immediately across the street from the ship. Twice the price as the garage downtown, but worth the convenience.
  5. So that’s at least three eye witness accounts of Beyond creaking on this board. Oop! I just realized this is a Halloween cruise. Maybe it is all being piped in for ambiance?
  6. What has anyone heard about the Below Deck captans? I understand that an episode of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live hosted by Andy Cohen and featuring the Below Deck captains will be filmed on board and air on November 1st. Can anyone on board confirm this intell?
  7. We always forget to get our free scoop of gelato. Too busy muttering to each other about the fact that there is a charge for gelato.🙄🤣
  8. It is always nice to see a familiar face on board. Love the pics so far, especially Lady Liberty. What deck is your suite on? Enjoy your sea day!
  9. I am following along with you. I really enjoyed what you started off with. I am looking forward to reading the perspective of a seasoned cruiser who is not a Celebrity loyalist as many of us are on this board. I would love to see pics of your panoramic ocean view stateroom with 10% obstruction. I am also interested in your E-Class dining selections among the multitude of included and for-fee venues that you have to choose from on board Beyond. Bon voyage. Paul
  10. I have not received an upgrade bid email for my December cruise. I am booked in a verandah. Is it possible that I do not qualify for upgrade bidding because I booked through the warehouse club?
  11. This is how Celebrity rolls in The Retreat. We were the first ones escorted on board Equinox by the retreat manager last year. Enjoy!
  12. Hi Jim. We just used Uber in Bologna earlier this month with much success. Driver communication was excellent. He arrived early at our hotel for our 4:15am collection time.
  13. Happy Embarkation Eve Coco! Wishing you and yours safe travels to the port. I am getting plenty of cruise organizational ideas from yourself and others who have chimed in during this packing phase of your live thread. Now that you are all packed and ready to hit the x-way, I have a couple questions. Chicago Paul tends to include in his Live Froms a paragraph about the details regarding his booking such as when and how he booked and how much he paid for the cruise and the flight(s) and I always find those details enlightening. Care to divulge?😉 Are you and the crew staying over post-cruise before flying back to the mid-Atlantic? The pre-cruise hotel you discovered last year, Le Méridien Dania Beach nearby FLL turned out to be an excellent choice from what I remember you writing about it.
  14. Loved the strings duo. Listened to and interacted with them nightly in Cellar Masters. Enjoying your report so far.
  15. I could eat the Onion Soup every night. Salmon is always a safe bet, but I never ordered it since I always seem to find something appealing on the other side of the menu.🤩
  16. Hi Kelly. Tim and I are back and exhausted from our 20 day sojourn to Italy including ten nights on board Constellation through the Greek Isles. The good news is we left the day before Ian arrived and suffered only very minimal landscape damage here in Bonita Springs. Thanks for doing this live thread. And thanks for starting early, so I don’t have to play catch up. Although something tells me this will be a rather active thread requiring pages and pages of reading. However, so far I am enjoying every single detail you have provided. I have pulled up a chair next to Jim, so I can keep up. Eager to hear your impressions as I have had the same reservations about the E-class ships that you have. Curious what Eden is all about these days. You are in The Retreat, so no doubt you will receive the exceptional service this class is noted for. Don’t worry about the food in Luminae. It will be truly wonderful if it is anything like our past experiences on Equinox and Silhouette. Bon voyage to you and your loved ones. Post lots of pics for us to drool over. Paul
