Expedition excursions on zodiacs are normally included. There are not enough zodiacs to take all passengers on an excursion at one time. We were broken into 3 or 4 groups, and were given different times to report to the zodiacs. They did it by color.

We ate early last night in the Restaurant and were surprised by the number of tuxes and glittery gowns. We did not see that on the Ovation in the Caribbean. We dressed up to the code but many seemed dressed for the QM2 standards. Did not see the overly casual passengers but we sat by a window on the side. They seemed to be very short of staff.

Love following your trip. We are currently “suffering” on the Seabourn Odyssey trans pacific though we are only doing Papeete to Honolulu. The evening buffet on your ship looks great so I hope that is the end of the complaints. No shortage of choices for the evening meals in the MDR on Seabourn. I counted seventeens choices of main courses between the classic and special evening menu.

Onboard Odyssey now and they are specifying “elegant” jeans, whatever they may be.

The UA flight was not only delayed. The Friday flight from SFO was canceled for whatever reason, and that threw all the passengers trying to find another way to PPT, not easy under any circumstances. Some were put on the next days flight 4/15 and that was also delayed by an hour.
Not a great way to start a cruise and yes they are jet lagged. Glad we came in on Thursday.- 1

We were reminded 3 times to not get to the boarding area early in Papeete. That is because there was no boarding area. There was a small tent like you see at any port, no building or place to wait. So it depends on where you board your ship, so if you are in an area with no facilities it would be wise to board at your boarding pass time.

Thank goodness ripped jeans are only stylish for twenties and under. What about the pants worn way below the waist with underwear in full show? I don’t like it when people don’t make an effort in the evening. I at least hope they have showered/cleaned up so I don’t have to smell them. That really puts me off eating.

That is great news, what about the crew?

Hope you can put up with those of us boarding in Papeete. We have busy lives outside of cruising with jobs that demand being in person (Surgeons, etc). We can’t do our jobs sitting in a ship but we enjoy getting away when we can.

Keep checking, 8 months before your trip is too soon on Seabourn. We leave in two weeks and some ports are not showing any excursions. At major, often visited ports, they should be available six months before your trip.

The CDC cards were sufficient for our voyages in December 22.

“Tiny TV”? Was the OP in a regular verandah cabin?

Does this service just drop your bags at your airline or do they forward them to your home? I enjoyed the White Star Service on Cunard but you paid for the service.

Guess the rest of the world is also having “ cash flow” problems!? Just walk through any retail establishment and note the signs by the empty shelves. Every business is having supply chain issues, not cash flow problems.

We sailed on Azamara and thought it offered an excellent experience. We book at least the Club Continent Suite as it offers unlimited dining in the two specialty restaurants. We never ate in the MDR and just alternated between the specialties. We did buy the ultimate package and we’re always able to get excellent wines and other beverages. The White night party, the Azamazing evening and the chocolate party were all a lot of fun. The prices are better than Celebrity suites and they often have specials such as second person in suite is 60% off.

In December they had light sandwiches around lunch and pastries later. It was usually crowded but there was a big demand for hot drinks since it was a cold December.

If you look at the Cunard world cruises they will actually circumvent the world. You won’t hit every country but you do sail around the world. The Queen Ann, new ship, has a great 111 day world cruise next year if you have the time.

There is a danger in sailing with Seabourn for weeks or months each year. Everything about the ships will start to be old hat. The menus will be roughly the same and the entertainment repetitive. We did attend the shows on our first trip with Seabourn but after that we just had a relaxed dinner. Quiet music in the lounges is what we enjoy.

We absolutely loved TK on our last two Ovation voyages in 2022, never had a bad meal and we had them all. We didn’t care for TK on the older ships. It’s too small and narrow and always feels crowded.

The themes for Gala night are only suggestions. Some passengers will go all out to match the theme but normal formal wear is fine for most.

Don’t see the problem with the menu from the Solstice. Eight appetizers and nine entrees should be enough for anyone. Too bad there is no Tilapia on the menu, guess the complainers will be disappointed.

Stoneharborlady should be more upset by the filthy plate her lobster was served on. The other half of the plate has sauce smeared all over it or was something else on this plate?

Lunch in the Queens Grill is also included. They won’t stop you from going to the Kings Court or Lido. Never had a problem getting a lighter lunch in the Queens Grill. They will prepare whatever you prefer for lunch.

No limits ever on non alcoholic beverages on Celebrity cruises.
Lack of empathy with shore excursion injury

Third world countries always present dangers. It’s lucky you did not have a more serious injury. The conditions in most, if not all, of the Caribbean ports are deplorable. Safety standards are severely lacking if they exist at all. You need good insurance plus emergency evacuation when you travel. Traveler beware!!
