  1. Our QG cabin included drinks (up to $12), gratuities, and basic internet for one device.   These are usual inclusions when booking in the U.S.    Our suite, towards the back, did not have a Wi-Fi signal.   Could use it in the Grill Lounge, and other public areas.   This was on transatlantics east and westbound.   You may prefer a different line if WI-FI is super important to you.   This was on the QM2, can’t speak to the QE or QV.

Then again, many of us paid for a full glass. According to many recent reports, X decided to take out some of the contents of the glass for those of us who are not in suites.

I'm cautiously optimistic that my glass will be more full than empty on my upcoming cruises. I hope the same will be true for everyone else's glass as well. .

Since you will be in the Retreat you shouldn’t notice any negative changes.   If you prefer to eat in the OV for dinner you will notice there is less choice.

  3. If the OP’s friend had done an internet search on lash extensions she would never have gotten them especially on a cruise.   The procedures to be followed after getting extensions is not something you want to do on vacation, especially avoiding humidity, showers and soap.   Many people have reactions to the glue and she should have had a patch test before the procedure.

Since Crystal is gone there aren't many cruise lines anymore where you find a contemporary experience with a luxury moniker. And you can hardly call Cunard contemporary. Luxury is one thing, but if you're in the affluent age group of 35-60 then Cunard isn't really an attractive option, more a geriatric ward. So I do get folks who have a lot of cash to spend stick to The Retreat upper class suites the NCL's Haven.

We were on the QM2 for 19 days in Dec 22.   There was a lovely mix of ages on board although I didn’t see more than 6 mobility scooters.   Celebrity was more of a geriatric ward on our last crossing.    I imagine the world cruise might have on older demographic but it certainly isn’t the case on transatlantic crossings or cruises less than 21 days.

  5. With the new, downgraded dress code passengers may dress exactly how the refugees outside the hotel in Manhattan.   They all wore jeans and sport shirts so they could have easily dined in the Seabourn Restaurant.   I fully understand the homeless encampment.
