  1. Update: the change is now reflected in the excursion page. But the port swap doesn’t show yet in the itinerary page. Like with most things, it will take Princess a bit of time to get its act together.
  2. I have 70 days yet. I have a list of recommended 3rd party excursions my TA sent me. I’ll be going through the list over the next week.
  3. It’s still wrong there and anywhere else I can think to look. It’s no big deal, as I expect Princess will eventually fix the itinerary and show the excursion on the correct date. However, I was looking at 3rd party excursions for the other port in the swap and no longer feel comfortable making those arrangements. Maybe closer to sailing date.
  4. I just received an email from my TA. My 6/15 Enchanted cruise has a modified itinerary. The order of two ports is reversed. We have an excursion booked through Princess for one of those ports. I don’t see the change reflected yet in the app. But I expect it will show up eventually. Should I be concerned about my excursion or should I expect Princess to seamlessly switch it from Tuesday to Wednesday?
  5. Um, we had a different experience. The robes fit my wife and me. At the same time. Ours was huge. I never want to be the guy that fits into it perfectly.
  6. Are you saying there are none? That’s outrageous. Potatoes make up a high percentage of my diet. Can I get a baked potato with breakfast? (We’ve sailed with NCL but I don’t remember).
  7. Maybe I missed the point, but if a cruiser is buying soda, internet and gratuities ala carte, then where is the additional profit? Are you assuming that a non-drinker either buys this imaginary package or nothing at all?
  8. Yeah, there might be “home fries” but they don’t spend long enough in the pan. I want browning and crispy edges.
  9. Assuming you already purchase the components ala carte, they would not make a fortune. Maybe it’s just me, but I will buy what I want or need and at the best price.
  10. I would have said the hash browns at McDonald’s are identical. I had hoped that the MDR breakfast hash browns were better than the buffet, but no. I do like the MDR poached eggs however. As far as the buffet omelet station, delivery logistics could be improved. Maybe something more obvious than a slip of paper instead of watching your omelet circulate around the dining room while the server searches for you. Like, maybe use the medallion to locate the omelet owner?
  11. Idiot proofing. Sadly necessary.
  12. I held off booking an excursion while I waited for my daughter to check in her family for the same cruise. I didn’t want to have to cancel if there was no room for all six of us. Result: the price increased $10 pp.
  13. I got to observe the check in process on the new app yesterday. We are already checked in via the old app, but my daughter’s family are first time Princess cruisers. Everything was smooth and swift. All photos were accepted first time. There was some data that needed to be erased that carried over from my booking, but it was easily replaced with theirs. My recollection of checking in for our first Princess cruise a year ago was that the old app made the process glitchy, although subsequent check-ins were without big problems. I do believe this is an improvement.
  14. Same here. I see 3 categories: MDR, SD and Experiential. It’s not in any of those.
  15. If you’re hooked on a particular flavored sparkling water, you should procure a 12 pack or two prior to boarding to carry on. Of course, many of these come in 8 packs, so be careful you don’t try to bring on too much (12 cans per passenger I think). I favor Spindrift myself. But I can live without it for 7-10 days no problem.
  16. We are still relatively busy despite being retired. Can’t travel whenever we feel like it. The stock market has been quite kind to us over the last year. So, we are taking family with us on our next cruise. We are used to booking a condo at the beach and sharing with kids and grandkids. This seemed like a natural next step. I booked a mini suite and they will be right across the hall in an inside. Next year, who knows?
  17. I don’t know the specifics yet - we don’t sail until June - but I have read here somewhere that ships time will not match port time.
  18. Is it possible that Princess is exploring a third package with additional benefits? That would somewhat limit the extra load on SD.
  19. I have always been able to see the next day’s MDR menu. It’s how Princess manages dietary restrictions and sensitivities.
  20. Well, dang! But since it applies to all cruisers, it shouldn’t really make any difference. I’ll just make the reservations right after final payment.
  21. I have made reservations for the MDR prior to final payment for all three Princess cruises I have booked. Is this something new?
  22. Two per DAY! I want to see if my grandchildren are interested in trying one, but I don’t expect even them to want a second.
  23. I have yet to encounter a problem worse than slowness. But at 84 days out, it offers little of use. I've read somewhere that 10-11 days out, this ugly caterpillar emerges from its crysallis as a beautiful, useful butterfly.
  24. We have only been once and that was September. Weather was warm at times, never frigid. We did get to observe a salmon run in Ketchikan. T-shirts on the ship were closed out at $5 each, which was nice.
