Insides on Icon are just shy of $2000 pp without taxes for summer sailings in the Caribbean so $2000 to $2500 pp for an inside on Star in Europe sounds about right

This was taken 10/22/22 - day icon was released!  That’s $1876 for a balcony. I thought that was outrageous then. Should have grabbed it!

  2. @firefly333 thank you for your explanation.  I apologise if I offended you.

However, I do get the impression that people feel they have to sign up for every tour and spend hours toiling around museums listing to guides drone on about Emperor this or Queen that, with dates and facts and names that you will have forgotten by dinner time!!
Sometimes sitting in a cafe watching the people walk past, eating and drinking local wine and food gives you a longer lasting memory.

I’ve never been to Pompeii - but I have had memorable pizzas in back streets of Naples where the movie Eat Pray Love was filmed.

You don’t have to do tours to experience a place is what I’m saying.

Thanks for checking this.  There is an Allure cruise from MIA to BCN on Feb. 10th.  Allure then returns to FLL on Oct. 26th.  not sure how that could work?

    NJ

they are talking about booking a return airfare then throwing away the return!!

If you do buy a return make sure the first leg is the one you actually use. Because if you are no show for the first leg whilst intending to use the 2nd leg they will automatically cancel the return!

I still think my one way fare of $621 quoted ^^ on 🛶 is a good deal though. Have you checked that out?

Internet is on sale right now for $17.99/pp/pd.  We are sailing for eight days in May.  Is this a better deal than daily internet purchased on board for two people, one device each, who are both D+ and get two free days each?  (I know the sale says $27.99/pp/pd is the regular price on board in the ad, but I don't trust that - they've been known to inflate non-sale prices to make sale prices look better.)

Person 1 uses their 2x 24hr period from mid day day 2 to mid day day 4.

Person 2 then buys package offset by their 2 day allowance on day 5 so in theory you will only pay for one day.

    Hey All,

Looking to book Allure of the Seas transatlantic Feb. 10th with a return from Barcelona on Feb. 22nd to Toronto.  Quoted price by AirtoSea of $1,034 per person with British Airways.  Next best price $886 with Italia Transporto (two stops).  Was told I might get a better price by calling on a week day.

Was there a better air fare earlier - are we just booking too late?  Used to seeing fares from $350+ - guess that "ship has sailed"!

    Any thoughts?  Suggestions?

    NJ

On 🛶 I’m seeing prices as low as £481 which is $621. One change. 12 hrs.

I hope so as the European schedule that has already been released is totally underwhelming.

However one icon class ship in europe for a few months the prices will be astronomical.

I guess we all find our around 27/1/25

I’m getting ready to sell a kidney ….

What do you think? 7n on a new ship on the same old same old Med loop ?  Cheapest I did it was $800 solo on Wonder when she was new so I’m thinking $2000pp for a week 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️🙀🫣🤔😲

Thank you for the information.  According to our itinerary as it stands, ship docks at 05:00am and we can leave at 6:00am.  There are only 2 of us and we have a private transfer to the airport and will self-assist with our baggage.  So my timings are 6:25 disembark, 6:30 in private transfer, 7:30 arrive at airport.  That leaves a little over 2 hours.  We will be flying business with Qatar so will have priority check-in and boarding.

Who says you can leave at 6.00am?
Disembark usually starts at 6:30am as everyone has said.

Flying Qatar club class will hopefully get you a seat on the evening flight when you miss the morning flight 🤷‍♀️

We are sailing on the Odyssey of The Seas departing Civitavecchia 31st August 2025 and returning 9th September 2025.   The itinerary shows us docking at 05:00am.  What would be the earliest time we could disembark?  We have a 09:40am Qatar flight from Rome Airport.  Is this cutting it too fine.  The next flight is not until 18:30

No way!  Airport is an hour by car - 9th is a Tuesday so you’ll have commuter traffic too.

Once when we had late flight we rented a car in Civ and had a great day driving the countryside, leisurely lunch and then dropped the car off at the airport.  This is a pleasant alternative to sitting in the airport for hours… although the shopping 🛍️ in FCO is great!

Avis/Budget office is right where the shuttle bus stops you off FYI

Refundable rates for groups will not be disappearing.

FYI - your TA gave you bad information as you cannot do a refundable open booking.  The only way to book a refundable rate on board is to pick a ship and sail date and pay the full deposit and get the reduced OBC

Sorry, bad use of words by myself.
Book any 4n sailing refundable then switch it!

    • Thanks 1
  10. I have been given strong hints by my TA that refundable options at next cruise will be pulled soon.

They have advised me to stock up on Nextcruise 4n solo refundable sailings at $100 deposit - these can then be converted to any cruise/length at later date.

They deal a lot in Groups so I’m not sure if this means the group refundable deals will be disappearing too? @Ken at the beach any ideas please ?

In my travels I’ve learned that people from many countries all over the world are afraid to visit the US, mostly worried about getting shot.

They also really don’t like our public bathrooms. It’s not why they won’t come here, but the spaces underneath and between the stall panels freak them out. After learning this it did occur to me that every public bathroom stall I’ve used in Europe does indeed have complete walls and doors like a closet.

Yeah… those loos are just totally weird and wrong!!! 🫣

  12. Questions about the timings in this one…eclipse passes directly over La Coruña - she is at sea on eclipse day which ends at 8.30p and then somehow she has to be docked 380nm away in Lisbon by 7am the following morning!!! Impossible. Unless she already has sailed out of the direct path of the eclipse which kinda defeats the whole object….
