  1. We just made reservations for Oasis. They will admit only those registered until 5 minutes or so before the show. By then the best seats are gone and there actually might not be seating left. It's a must see show, so if there are no reservations available plan to arrive early.
  2. You, and others, make a serious charge, namely, that RCCL is receiving money under false pretences. The implication is they are stealing from their employees. It just seems to me that something this serious demands something more than "my cousin heard from a former employee's nephew on an internet board that it was done."
  3. A claim often made but does anyone have any PROOF of this?
  4. It's certanly not proven that removing tips is a "trend." Making that assumption based on one's subjective observation is hardly a trend. If RCCL management made the claim, then it would be more believable.
  5. Not quite... 'The latest EIA numbers show that US commercial crude oil inventories fell by 10.58MMbbls over the last week, which leaves total crude oil inventories at 422.94MMbbls – the lowest level since December 2022."
  6. All that may be true but RCCL is operating based on the U.S. experience not the British,Italian or Japanese.
  7. The OP wasn't asking about winning a free cruise at bingo. They were asking if anyone won a free cruise for taking RCCL's survey. I have never encountered anyone in this category.
  8. One voucher used for several drinks??? Please explain.
  9. They are not working in their own country so the comparison is meaningless. They are working in an environment that caters to those who can afford to spend thousands of dollars for a week's vacation. For those of us who are blessed (yes, blessed) to be able to afford cruising, complaining about a small percentage of the total spent, seems a bit gratuitous.
  10. Have you considered that some of my friends may indeed be fiends???🙂
  11. We saw pavlovas at Windjammer lunch a couple of days. They do go quickly though.
  12. I've experienced the prime rib to be hit and miss. It all depends on the quality of the cut of beef. I will often ask the waiter for their honest evaluation. One decadent recommendation for a Windjammer dessert... The Pavlova
  13. Too much negativity here. It's not just about the food, which is fine. It's about the interaction with the waiters and assistant waiters It's about sharing a time with family and special fiends It's about enjoying being served and not complaining about everything Enjoy!
  14. Will do. I can tell you we were able to use it for a Chops lunch on Anthem a few months ago. The price difference between lunch and dinner is pretty substantial.
  15. Yeah, we'll be on Oasis in a couple of weeks and hope for a BOGO lunch at Giovanni's. Hope it works.
  16. Totally agree about the Double Points Promotion which created hordes of new Diamonds and thousands if not millions of free drinks. This, however, is one cancelled cruise due to mechanical issues. The cost would be minimal.
  17. The chart shows the BOGO to be available for dinner. In the past, we've used it for lunch. Is this a change?
  18. Seriously, what is the cost to RCCL to give C&A points? When our 8 night voyage was reduced to 5 nights due to a threat of Covid (later shown to be unfounded), we received credit for the entire eight nights.
  19. Thank you. By any chance does anyone have a copy of the updated amenity choices, especially the wine? Seems like they were out of quite a few. I wonder if that has been resolved.
  20. The biggest losers (IMHO) over the last decade have been D+ members. We also enjoyed the CL on Anthem until we were tossed out. Also gone... bridge tours, meal with an officer (now cheers), galley tours, priority check-in, beer removed as an amenity, etc.. Yet, we still have some nice perks... three free bottles of wine, 10 drinks a day (for both of us), free photos, laundry, balcony discount, etc.. Maybe it's inertia, but (for now) we're sticking with RCCL.
  21. I was also a fan of Mickey Mantle. One night, sitting in the upper deck behind third base in a fairly empty stadium, Mickey hit a foul ball directly at me. I put my hands out and the ball went right through my hands... and into the folded seat in front of me. Just sitting there. Of course, I can't prove Mickey hit it but I know. Have a program autographed by Mel Allen and Red Barber. You're probably too young to remember them.
  22. Might as well take advantage of the freebie. Growing up in NYC, I was a fan of Yogi and the Yankees but, alas, Yogimax is a reference to our two adopted Manx cats who were "discarded" at the door of the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan. They brought our family much love and joy! A Yogi-ism... "He hits from both sides of the plate. He’s amphibious."
  23. If you are D+, you can also get, at least, one bottle of wine as your amenity coice.
  24. With supply remaining fairly constant only reducing demand will bring prices down. The significantly higher prices may actually begin the process to stabilize/reduce prices. I use the word "may" since it seems some people are oblivious to cost and will pay anything.
