We saw Company last Wednesday....its closing end of July. 42nd street near TKTS was so crowded that we had to push our way through. Masks optional starting July.

Question for a cruiser.....is it far from ship to outside the gate where he meets us?

What we did for our almost midnight flight out of Rio...... I found a private guide. He picked us up after breakfast with our luggage. He had a friend at one of the big hotels in Rio who held it for us. We toured all day. He took us (as requested) to a wonderful local restaurant. Picked up our luggage from where it was being held and drove us to the airport.

So happy I saw this posting. I contacted Dewa last March. We've got him for 2 days in December. Very excited. He had some suggestions on what to see and says they could be changed if I want.

We stayed at the Carris Porto Ribeira. The old outside facade has been left intact as per some regulation but the inside is totally modern. We walked about a block and a half to the Douro River boat tour and then to one of the fantastic restaurants that are right there (sorry I forgot name). We walked maybe 10 minutes to the Sande and bldg where we had a great tour of their ports....and lovely little pop up canopied shops right there. We walked up the hill to the pedestrian walk area filled with restaurants....and continued right past the pedestrian area to the Porto train station. It's lined with beautiful tile murals. All this just after 1 knew replacement and before the 2nd. Was great.

Good. He was pretty easy to work with. Are you going to Rio? We had a fantastic private tour there with Tour Guide Gus...Augusto Guimares (think that's the spelling).

We are also on that cruise. Am hoping to get to some Tasmanian wine trgions.

We will be stopping at Greenock and Dublin on another cruise. First thing I do is Google....... Greenock or Dublin shore excursions.. also Google Tours by Locals

We also frequently do to charleston for the day....carriage tour is lovely. Download a street map....if you are walkers start at the market bldgs on Market Street...there are 4 i think...the closed bld has bathrooms. Walk along the waterfront from around Queen Street (I think Street changes name as you cross Bay Street). Walk along the French quarter. Look at the wonderful old houses. Look for the Painted Lady House's. We love to eat at 82 Queen. Also we love the mussels at 39 Rue de Jean ( by the Visitors Center?.lots to see there). Charleston Museum across from Visitor Center. Great Aquarium. There is so much to see in the downtown area

This is only our 5th cruise...Bronze. our loyalty points got us $100 credit. This is $600 additional.....will try to get hold of our TA next week after holi.

Our Vista cruise in 2023 shows something called Complimentary Shipboard credit. Why is Oceania giving me this? It's separate from our cruise points credit.

We have used both Viator and Tours by Locals. I especially like TBL because if something happens and your ship is either delayed or doesn't arr8ve, your money is refunded. In Phuket, our captain announced the day before that our ship would be about 5 hrs delayed arriving. I emailed TBL. They offerred either ability to cancel or rebook for a short tour at at lesser pr8ce. Our 3 hr tour (instead of 6 hr) was fantastic.

Yes....I know Australia is still closed but am using my downtime to research and gather information. We will be flying into Sydney a week before our cruise (hopefully) in December. Anyone familiar with either of the 2 Hilton hotels? One is on Sussex Street. The other on George Street. Thanks.
