  1. What kind of restrictions? Does it shut down in bad weather/winds? Curious too why they didn't include the Tidal Wave slide on other ships.
  2. Have a great time! We quite enjoyed Paradise Beach when we went. They have a nice big pool too. Not good to hear Mr Sanchos was too crowded. Will keep that in mind. Would love to hear your thoughts of Paradise Beach when you return.
  3. Lol...you are right (as now I see the front door of the other cabin). Didn't notice before.
  4. We had connecting balcony rooms on Anthem. If it's connecting, then there is a door inside the rooms. This is the best picture that I have (sorry, door is closed but it gives you an idea). The white door on the left is the connecting door to the other stateroom. If it's a balcony room, you can also open the barrier on the balcony as shown here.
  5. Same but swap the bacon for smoked salmon (can ask on request).
  6. Looks really nice to me! Thanks for sharing the similar idea on Celebrity.
  7. We were on Anthem in March. Great ship! Didn't try Wonderland so can't comment. We had traditional dining so had a table assigned (same table each night). For my time, a specific floor or floors is allocated (don't remember which level offhand) The Two70 is a great venue. It has shows at night (Spectra's Cabaret) and the beautiful view with the full length windows in the day. You can grab a drink, have lunch there (from 270 cafe), etc. They had other fun things too like Silent Disco, etc Yes a small outdoor seating area When we went, North Star and iFly were free on port days. A charge on sea days. The North Star that you pay for is longer and extends further off the ship but the free one is good too (we did both). Tip: Don't miss We Will Rock You! Amazing production!
  8. Thanks for sharing! This helps! So the window does come down to let the air in when wanted. They seem like a nice to get full window, a bit extra space and breeze when wanted. (We didn't book one of these due to the price for our sailing but definitely good to watch out for int he future some day)
  9. Thanks for the reply. So basically like a sunroom (and not really a "balcony")
  10. This may be a silly question, but does anyone know what exactly the infinite rooms are on icon? e.g. Infinite Central Park Balcony, Infinite Ocean View Balcony, etc. Does it have an actual outside balcony? Or is it more of a sunroom? From the pictures, it looks like the latter and it's more enclosed.
  11. That's awesome. Never done a back to back, but how fun to switch ships. When we book cruises, we try and stick to ones we haven't done before (if departure port, timing and price works) so fun to compare them. Have an amazing trip.
  12. An old post (also it's been resurrected recently)...Great feedback and am looking at this excursion as a possibility when we go to Roatan in March. Can anyone comment if they think teens would enjoy it? Offhand, it think they would (especially with the outcome...lol). My main hesitation is that we would miss out on Roatan's beautiful beaches if we did something like this activity.
  13. We'll be visiting Roatan in March. We were there once before and did a private tour where we heard about the culture (he drove us to different spots), went to the Monkey and Sloth place, went to a chocolate factory and it ended at West Bay beach. I'm looking at (Royal) excursions that just got added and it seems like a lot of good options. Does anyone have any feedback on any of the following? We're coming with a 17 and 13 year old: Maya Eden Eco Park Easy Roatan Monkey, Sloth and Iguana Maya Key Private Island East End Sights & Garifuna Culture Highlights of Roatan: Mangroves, Beach Roatan Island Tour and Beach Xocolati- Chocolate Experience Tabyana Beach Break Sorry, it's a long list but many look interesting
  14. Anyone know about ship excursions? If you take one and someone on the excursion goes to medical as they are not well and they test positive for covid, are they still going to quarantine everyone on that excursion and test them?
  15. Thanks for the replies. I forgot that during covid, occupancy would have been reduced.
  16. Thanks for the replies. Wonder if they sell out or if it's a way to make you feel like you should buy the pass. Not sure yet what we'll do in Cozumel but just looking at options.
  17. Thanks for the reply. That's what I was wondering/thinking...that it's a change since the pandemic.
  18. Starting to look at our cruise ports and looking into Paradise Beach (which we have done before) and Mr Sanchos. From what I remember for Paradise Beach, we paid a small entrance fee (I think it was $3-5 per person) and we had to spend at least $10 per person on food and that was the minimum charge. Looking at their website, it looks like they now charge $65 per adult (and a bit less of teens and kids). Is this an optional way to visit if you want all inclusive? Or is this how it now works there? P.S. - Anyone been to both and have any preference? Am thinking maybe we try Mr Sanchos as we haven't been there before. Coming with two teenagers.
  19. We booked, but as refundable as things are up in the air and so may not even happen. I wasn't even planning on booking but I looked at holiday time 2024 for the fun of it. Prices are pretty crazy so booked a Central Park Interior for four of us (and even that is much higher than we would ever pay). There aren't many of these rooms so wanted to grab one before it goes. The thing is our DS will be in university and no idea where he'll be, co-op schedule (if even started yet) and if he'll even want to go on holiday with us....but on the flip side, wanted to book this ship with both kids while we can. Not sure if it's true but the agent said that the first sailing on Icon is almost sold out.
  20. The nice thing with Royal is that they have ships for everyone. If you just want the original ship with pools, views, food and entertainment and nothing else, then you can book one of the older ships. Royal is expanding to be attractive for families. Before the amplifications started, none of their ships had water slides (not including the single small one on one of their ships). When looking for our family years ago, we checked out Disney due to this (but then booked Royal due to cost). Then they started adding slides, laser tag, etc to some of their ships. No question that Icon is definitely geared towards families. It's something I would look at for sure when booking with our teens as it looks amazing to us (DD13 was so excited when she saw it). If just DH and I, then it's not the top of our list. That's what's so great about Royal. It's not for just one group as they have variety.
  21. Thanks for reporting back. Entertainment on Royal ships are always a highlight for us. Looking forward to seeing it on Odyssey next year.
  22. Thanks! Good idea. Our cruise is short though so may be worthwhile to just buy it if we think we want the card. Good to know that the specialty coffee is better than the lounge. Guess the card also gives us the option of the frozen and ice coffees. Yeah, I've heard that sometimes they will double punch if not getting the smallest size.
  23. I am excited to see your review. DH and I are on Liberty in December (but out of FLL) and there aren't many reviews on Liberty. That's great that you are able to snag so many points on this trip. Nice! Safe travels and have an amazing cruise! Happy to follow along!
