You can play it by ear, if the weather is not great pre-cruise you can leave it until the day you arrive back in Barcelona. You can wait and buy tickets at the park, too (I think it costs 1 euro more per ticket). I don't think the lines are too bad in the wintertime.
oh I didn't know that.. need to search that- would be easier not to buy beforehand...

Thanks so much. We are now planning to go day before we get on the ship so we don't have to hurry off ship....
-
we want to go to Parc Guell on the morning that we get off ship- If we plan to get off around 8 how long do you think it'll take- We will take bags to hotel (15 minutes away) and should be at parc by 10 or earlier- hate having to book times...
-
Can you walk off anytime or just earliest? we are not doing a planned tour anymore but do need to take luggage to our hotel then have a day in BCN... what time would be best to leave ship- trying to buy tickets for parc Guell the morning that we disembark..... would I be safe getting them at 10? what if we miss our time?

We prepay. One less thing to have on your bill at end of cruise.
just curious- what is usually on the bill as we've prepaid everything like shows/specialty restaurants? have the UBP so no drink charges....

I've decided to cancel and do the HOHO tour and go to some other places thx
-
so they really do NOT expect a tip then.... that makes it easy!!
-
thanks I assume we will go in the Familia- will double check today

Black and white is fine. No tags at all is also fine, the porters will take care of it when you arrive at the departure terminal.
I printed our tags- do we put them on when we check in at port? Seems like they could get torn off easily if put on any earlier...

I've booked a 4 hour private tour with Spain Day tours (Top Hat) the day that we get off ship.I read great reviews about them !! I was asking on tripadvisor what to do the day we land etc.... and they asked what we are doing on tour so I copied and pasted it and got a lot of negative remarks... here is itinerary-
• La Sagrada Familia- world-famous architectural masterpiece
• Park Guell- Gaudi's greatest Park with beautiful city views - visit includes skip-the-line entry
• Passeig de Gracia- Barcelona's most luxurious strip
• La Pedrera/Casa Mila- Gaudi's most famous building in Barcelona
• Casa Batllo- Gaudi's most astounding contribution to Modernisimo
• Casa Amataller- part of the trio "Apple of Discord"
• Casa Morera- part of the famous trio
• Plaza España- most impressive plaza in Barcelona
• The National Palace- very impressive site with great views
• The Olympic Ring- see where it all happened in 1992
• Montjuic- with lots of history and great city views
• The Columbus Monument- for the world-famous explorer
• Port Olympic- marina, shops, restaurants, galleries, & more
• Plaza Cataluña- the famous plaza in the heart of Barcelona
We really just want an overview but do have skip the line tickets to park Guell
do I need to cancel??

I went with a few of my cousins on the epic last march. All of them were ages 21-24.
For us the dining package was a must. The food at the specialty restaurants was great far above the regular food. This I cannot stress enough.
As far as entertainment they got the most out of howl at the moon, club nights at h2o and Bliss for the after parties.
Thanks. I've read about howl at the moon. Went to it in Chicago. Is it the same? A song a long bar? I know about h20 but don't know about Bliss...
-
Most of the info is still pretty accurate, but it's worth pointing out that bookings are now available from 90 days and there is no Blue Man Group on the Epic any more
Thanks. We are booked for the shows!

Thanks. Great info!!

We are going on the 12/19 cruise. Never been on NCL. Don't cruise much at all. Very excited to see my daughter who is living in Spain right now. Any tips from the pros. Getting around ship? Special places /bars that aren't too crowded. Fun things to do on ship with a 20 & 23 year old !! We are booked for some meals and the shows.. Realize when we arrive we may need to change shows around.. Thanks!!
-
thanks -I'll be bringing my own but wanted to find out for my grown children who aren't that picky yet...
-
what does NCL supply in the bathroom- shampoo, conditioner, soap lotion???

We were in Fuerteventura last Christmas and were sunbathing on Xmas day and in thermals new years day! Hoping for warm enought for shorts and tee shirt in the day.
Liverpool Jo
Where is that ? Guess we will pack a little bit of everything then!!
-
What are the options besides the shows that you must book? I've seen howl at moon and possibly second city. What else? We will be on Epic in December. Don't they have nightly themed parties? Also times?
-
