  1. You are doing very well on your drink package - Making us all proud!! Question: Are milkshakes covered by drink package? How many can you get? Do they count toward your '15' drink count? Ok, so that was more than one question... Loving your trip report!!!
  2. Can you give me an idea when you stop having to pay tax? Miles down river? Approximate hours after leaving port? Or is it when you get to international waters?
  3. That’s a good start. Black Jack. 3 card poker. Roulette. Thanks!!!!
  4. I’m liking what I’m seeing. Machines seems to be paying. Sometime during your cruise would you check out the table games - What table games and table limits?
  5. Really enjoying all the pictures of the different areas. First time on the Glory and will be looking for ‘our settling spots’. Can’t decide which drink to try first.
  6. That’s the answer I was expecting!!! Lol!!! Leave some liquor for us!!
  7. Yes it is the law. First of many!!! Question…Do you have the drink package?
  8. You’ve had some really nice hits!!! Leave some for us in three weeks!! Have a great trip!!!
  9. Looking forward to reading your live from the Glory. We are on her April 2-9. First time Carnival cruiser here, but we just on this trip with no planning to join our cousin and her family for their spring break trip. Just going for the 'relaxing, drinks. casino, and hanging around the ship'. Have a great cruise!!
  10. I also decided to take out an annual travel insurance policy (already had two cruises booked and a long Vegas weekend booked and at least one more vacation to come). It was cheaper to do the annual policy than it was for each trip. Sorry to hear about your issues, but glad you had travel insurance to help with the extra cost.
  11. Thank you all for the information. Yes, plenty of OBC to be used for specialty dining if we feel the need. We did look at the menus each day at Luminae and would have been very happy to dine there most nights. Not too worried about the liquor set up - with the drink package included, we will be good. And we've looked at the layout of the Apex before deciding which room type/location to go with. We would like to be kind of close to the Retreat area and Luminae. Very excited to try out a new experience!!
  12. I'm glad you asked these questions - as we are looking at our first Retreat/Suite cruise next year on the Apex. Didn't realize we will have both a room attendant and a butler. Wondering if one of you could also go into a little more detail on what is included with a Sky Suite? I know premium wi-fi and alcohol package and tips are included... But what about any spa extras? Specialty restaurants (we really enjoyed Tuscan Grille on our last cruise)? I know on the Apex there is a separate pool deck for retreat and of course the retreat lounge and Luminae. Any pointers you can share would be great. We were able to visit a few of the Retreat areas on the Constellation and tour a Sky Suite - But we know that these are two very different ships. But what we saw made us even more excited.
  13. Perfect. We already identified the smoking areas and have decided we are good to book a Magic Carpet Sky Suite. Enjoy!!!
  14. Quick question for you... Do they allow smoking on the Magic Carpet? We are looking at booking a Magic Carpet Sky Suite next year and that is our only concern. You cruise(s) look wonderful so far. Have a great time!!!
  15. Love that there is another Charla blog!! I thoroughly enjoyed your last blog comparing Celebrity/MSC. I am especially interested in this blog as my sister and I are booking a Sky Suite on Apex for next March!! It will be our first time in Retreat. And we are so excited. I might have a few questions for you. Have a great cruise!!!
  16. I want to be you guys when I retire. To be able to do 3 B2B2B cruises!! Heaven. And don't fret over the live review. This is your vacation and whatever information you find time to share with us will be great. I agree with Jim, I think you will fall into a routine that will make it easier for you since you are on a longer cruise. Have a great/great/great cruise!!!
  17. Thank you for reminding me about the kid's menu. I remember on your past blogs, that you order from the kid's menu sometimes. That would be perfect for me - more room for drinks and desserts!!
  18. I do want to thank you for doing such a thorough review/live. So much information and so many great photos. We board the Connie on February 3 and can't wait. I have been able to information our group the 'new buffet' standards as you have been showing them. And since I cruise to get away from the cold/icky weather at home, I know I can manage on what you are showing us. A great crew is so much more important to me than food!! And with the drink package - I will be doing much like you: Eating more at breakfast/lunch and then enjoying the drinks with a smaller dinner. A salad with maybe a DIY sandwich sounds perfect. You are only making me more anxious for our cruise to get here. Enjoy the rest of your trip!!!
  19. Have you had the pizza on board yet? Trust me and find it. Even if it means going outside of Yacht Club to find it. My husband is a pizza snob and loved the pizza on the Seaside. Loving all the feedback and pictures.
  20. Thank you. Enjoying all the pictures and information you are sharing!!
  21. I do have a question: Do they still have the 'grill' open next to the pool for hamburgers/hot dogs etc...? If so, can you check on the hours and possible food options at the grill?
  22. I am thoroughly enjoying your live review. Specifically your ‘go with it attitude’!! We are less than 3 weeks out from our ten day cruise on the Connie and can’t wait. I’ve been trying to stay away from all the doom and gloom posts. Concerning MSC…Have you ‘matched’ to your level with Celebrity? We we’re on the Seaside on one of the last cruises before the ‘shutdown’. Best pizza on a cruise ever!!! We found out fast we don’t like the huge ships. Have a great rest of your amazing trip!!! And Thank You so much for the upbeat/funny/informative review!!!!
  23. I am following this live feed closely. My husband took me to the Cook Islands for our 25 anniversary. Very interested in seeing more of the South Pacific!! Can’t wait to see what your cruise brings you…
  24. Not sure what happened on my first post…Lol - Too early this morning. I haven’t seen this mentioned or asked, so I’m going to ask….At the buffet is it server yourself or they serve you? I understand at the pasta section, they serve you. But what about at the salad section? Just curious?
