    Was also on the discovery last year for Halloween. It was tons of fun. One other thing we did is package little goodie bags of Halloween candy and handed them out to crew members all day. They really seem to enjoy them.

    We used Seattle Express in July for a group of 13 of us. Could not have been any easier. We used it both ways. What’s nice is they use the smaller shuttle buses not big tour buses so you don’t have to wait for the whole big bus to fill up.

    We recently had an insde guarantee on the Crown and about 2 weeks out bid $250 each and got a B2 balcony C250 (with the bigger balcony). Took a gamble and it paid off!

    The problem we have had with a ship that has had both traditional and any time dining is that when a traditional dining guest has missed their appropriate time (due to a ship, excursion, or whatever) they end up at the dining rooms for any time dining, which, then in turn, makes it more crowded for the rest of us

    Last year we flew into Fairbanks and worked our way south. I would spend time in Denali and skip Talkeetna/McKinley area. Much more to see/do in Denali. End in Anchorage and then cruise after land portion (more relaxation on the back end)

    I didn’t say all ships go to glacier bay. I just stated that yes princess does and indicated the royal princess in particular does.

    We were on the Diamond Princess in January, and at the Captain Circle reception the future cruise Director announced they had a special onboard. You had to travel by May 15 and it was half off. We were able to get a cruise on the Discovery in April for the California coastal for half the price.

    Last August we went river rafting in Denali and used New Wave Adventures. If you are staying at the princess lodge in denali you can walk to it. It literally is across the street and to the left from the lodge. There is also a reasonable pizza place maybe 2 doors down that we went to afterwards.
