Thank you @Coralc! Crossing our fingers for May 30th.
We're booked May 11. I hope sanity has returned by then. Sorry about your cruise. At least you didn't spend the time in line to buy toilet paper.

I'm hoping the Diamond lounge happy hour will not be crowded for our May cruise on Independence.

From Montana you should sail on Liberty out of Galveston Jan 3, 2021, 7 nights to Cuzumel, Costa Maya, and Roatan. The Freedom Class ships are a little smaller so your Mom will be able to get around easier but there are plenty of things for an active person to do.

Have you considered ziplining on St Thomas? Also, a snorkeling and beach excursion to Trunk Bay on St John from St Thomas will fill all of your needs.

7-Up is the Uncola, capri pants are the undress.

Don't forget your free photo.

Yes, if you're Diamond or above and the machine isn't broken.

So, how is the coffee at the Cafe Promenade? I have the drink package, but haven't cruised on Navigator.
I like it better than the "specialty" coffee dispensed in the Diamond Lounge.

Thanks for that, Biker19.
Sobro, who loves coffee but can't stand Starbucks. And who also can't seem to get RCI ship class names correct before 6:00 AM.

I'm not a Starbucks fan, but my understanding is that Starbucks cards are usable only on Oasis and Anthem class ships. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

My favorite perk is the dedicated Platinum and above line at guest services on Carnival.
Your Diamond Concierge can do everything Guest Services can do except cash transactions.

My wife loves chickens. OP, please post a pic of the chicken coop.

More of a guideline actually 😉

Ships use bunker fuel, about $340 per ton. 266 gallons/ ton =$1.28 per gallon. Your fuel cost is off by a factor of 2.3. But the time factor is still a huge cost saving.

We had a wonderful lunch at Izumi on Radiance without hot rock or sushi. They did have hot rock available for dinner.

Trust but verify your new status when you book your next cruise. And if you already have a cruise booked, you might want to call C&A to verify your change in status. It beats tracking down the Loyalty Ambassador aboard ship.

Can I call the cruise company and deal with a different person? if the one I was dealing with is now off for the day?
At least to put holds until later today or tomorrow morning?
Any CSR can help you.

Welcome to Cruise Critic.

Last April Serenade did not offer hot rocks at lunch time. I was a bit disappointed, but the a la carte lunch menu was very good anyway.
During a previous Izumi thread someone mentioned that you can get takeout.

Chef's table. You can get a discount towards the end of the cruise if it's 7 nights or more. And if you're not winers you can request no wine and get a deeper discount. The meal is an experience to enjoy at least once.

I appreciate all of your efforts to keep us entertained Andrew. You did well. Thanks.

Apparently Lisa won't be joining you for some mid-day euphemism.

Thanks for the Enchantment pics Andrew. We're sailing on her early 2021 and I think I can see my reserved balcony.
At least the welds are holding up 😉

He will cruise as diamond if he goes solo or with a guest. My wife has more points and "actual" diamond status but last year we each booked a balcony cabin to get two diamond discounts so that the couple traveling with us got the price break too.
If he checks his cruise history on the C&A site he can add up his "personal" point total.

We're completing Freedom Class by sailing on Independence. I was surprised hump cabins were available just 7 months ago when I booked. Just a 5-night but we're driving from Nashville and visiting friends and sightseeing St Augustine on the way so we'll be away 10 days.
