  1. Last time I checked we are in the middle of the school year...unless I guess those kids are on spring break maybe.
  2. Carnival's website has lists of suite perks and spa cabin perks, only you can decide if these perks are worth the money for you.
  3. Right you shouldn't have to go somewhere else because of unruly behavior. The unruly behavior should be kept in line.
  4. For this reason Carnival specifically does not recommend guests fund their S&S accounts with a debit card.
  5. It's definitely on the list. Have heard great things.
  6. Carnival's focus is on new cruisers, people who don't know what Carnival is capable of. They have no idea how good the service and food on Carnival used to be. Or how much better the entertainment was. Or yes little things like the chocolate on the pillow. Where does that leave the loyalty program? Who knows.
  7. In some cultures it is seen as disrespectful to leave a tip.
  8. The hot tubs on Serenity and Lido decks are really just jacuzzi bath tubs...the water is warm, but not hot. Like bath water. A true hot tub should be hot enough that you really can't stand to be in it for much longer than 10-15 minutes, especially out in the sun in the tropics. I have never been in the thalassotherapy pools so I don't know how they compare.
  9. Carnival really needs to make the hot tubs hot and not just bath water warm. That would help immensely.
  10. The fact that the fire seems to be localized to the fiberglass shell of the funnel does seem to make the lightning theory more likely.
  11. Since pretty much everything on a cruise ship is made of metal, they have extremely limited range.
  12. https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3401/~/i-need-to-cancel-my-booking%2C-is-there-a-penalty%3F You are asking for a cancel and re-booking. There is no "tranfer" The days of Carnival waiving cancel fees are over once they stopped requiring testing or proof of vaccination for COVID, but you can certainly ask when you call. I have personally not been successful with getting change fees waived since COVID but you may be.
  13. Start here: https://www.cruisecritic.com/cruise-tips/first-time-cruisers
  14. Correct, $3 or so per glass.
  15. Tons of information on here for first time cruisers. Do you have any specific questions?
  16. They won't do anything if it involves the cruise you have booked. Have your new TA help you.

  18. If you know you're going to want to adjust gratuities, do not prepay them. Once the gratuities post to your onboard account, you can go to guest services and have them adjusted or removed as you wish. You may then pay gratuities in cash to whoever you want.
  19. That is a cancel and rebook, yes there are penalties involved.
  20. Yeah the biggest thing is they're like bath water warm, so people will sit in them for hours drinking and never get out to use the bathroom. 🤔
  21. I'm sure they do. Maybe it was improperly installed when they redid the funnel last year. Or maybe, the lightning just decided to strike somewhere else. Murphy's Law... This is all assuming it was lightning of course.
  22. That is true and they can use the hot tubs obviously, but they are not to act like baboons in the hot tubs. Lots of reasons I no longer use the hot tubs on Carnival. Kids are just one of them.
