  1. Give or take yes. It depends on how long it takes to get all the past cruise's guests off and clean the suites.
  2. You will be able to board as soon as boarding opens, most likely as soon as you get through the security screening around 11:00 considering you are in a suite.
  3. I agree, it really miffed me too. We are expected to pay more for less service.
  4. Magic was drydocked in May 2021, right before the restart. But most of Carnival's drydocks since COVID have mostly been a hull repaint and very little else. They did replace the conference center with the smoke-free casino. I imagine we'll have to wait for a few years before Carnival will start actually maintaining their ships again.
  5. It's all but guaranteed your sailing will. These themed deck party nights are currently Carnival's bread and butter.
  6. They carry Dr Pepper on Texas ships. No Captain though like you said.
  7. As has been mentioned you need to be out of your cabin early, and most people will just go ahead and get off the ship then so it gets busy. But what I like to do on days I want to get off later is head up to Lido and enjoy breakfast, and debark when I want - on a cruise last year we had a late flight so we stayed on until last call. You can pretty much debark when you want if you are handling your own luggage.
  8. Nobody is going to take these words seriously until people start getting kicked off the ship at the next stop. When you're stuck in Nassau and have to find your own way home because your kids are heathens or you got caught with drugs in your suitcase, word will spread quickly that the wild west is gone.
  9. In general the average cruise is still cheaper than it was BCE (Before COVID Era) but prices are typically higher than they were CE (COVID Era). This makes sense because Carnival is having to do less discounting to fill the ships as more people are able to cruise, and feel comfortable cruising.
  10. Makes sense, now that they charge for the popcorn they need to keep it by the bar.
  11. Yep that was around the time of my Sunshine cruise with Sprite. Maybe they found a few cases in the back? Maybe they couldn't get enough 7up at the time and supplemented with Sprite. Who knows. I wasn't given an explanation (neither did I ask for one). All I know is my 7&7 was actually a 7&Sprite!
  12. It happened years ago. BC (Before COVID). Strangely on my last Sunshine cruise they still had Sprite instead of 7up. I have no idea why.
  13. Not soda though, this is alcoholic. I will try them in a few weeks on Sunshine.
  14. They're going to carry whichever brand is giving them the better deal
  15. They used to roll the popcorn maker out to under the big screen, it was plainly visible, and they gave boxes of it to anyone who wanted one. It was really nice. Of course it couldn't last.
  16. Last few cruises I've been on haven't even noticed popcorn being available...not even to charge for it. I like the movies too. It is sad that Carnival seems to be moving away from them in favor of deck parties. Obviously the deck parties drive revenue sort of like the night club - encouraging alcohol sales etc... I think part of the problem is Carnival is still not doing atrium parties last I saw. All the parties have to be out on open deck. I don't know when this will change or if it will. So that obviously takes over the venue that the movies used.
  17. Even if they did - "Soon" doesn't mean anything to me - a date does though.
  18. I'm sure it will, surprised it hasn't yet, not sure when, Carnival won't say until they're ready to give a date.
  19. Why call when everything is on the website? Waste of everyone's time.
  20. I've got the bottles at the Lido pool area bars (blue iguana etc) and they're cold. But not always. Limited refrigeration space behind the bars so they mostly put beer and the half-liter bottles in there.
  21. Even at say 73F in February, that's a full 10 degrees or more warmer than the water in Myrtle Beach or Charleston that time of year.
  22. They haven't said yet what Paradise will be gettting, but considering she is the only ship without an Alchemy bar I'd guess it's got a good chance.
  23. Unless you're going out of Florida, it might be chilly the first day as you travel down South. And the last day as you head back North it will get chilly again. And like I said the water in the Bahamas might be a little chilly at that time of the year but even in February you can get used to it, it's not that cold.
