What is the exact dates? As already stated, N J schools usually start the Thursday after Labor Day. I took a 7 day NE cruise leaving Aug 31 this year and there were only a couple of children.

Here's a simple solution. Either don't cruise any more or find another cruise line. All of your points have been answered many times. Maybe cruising isn't for you?

No....Voyager came to Bayonne first. And Enchantment was here for a little less than a month after she got stretched.

I was on the Adventure in September. Invitation to Dance is basically the same. Don't remember much because I fell asleep for the last half.

Fyi - Liberty came after the Quantum in May 2015 until the Anthem came in the fall of that year. I know because I was on the first Bayonne sailing of the Liberty.

What about Bermuda, New England/Canada, Eastern Caribbean, or Southern Caribbean?  They all leave from Bayonne or Baltimore.

I know Bill is considered boring by many but he gets the job done. His style is not flashy. He was the CD on our cruise this past September and I had many conversations with him. Twice we were in the Windjammer having a late night snack and he came over to speak to me and my wife.

The ship docks at Black Falcon terminal. There is nothing within walking distance except Harpoon Brewery.  You will need a taxi, Uber, or take the shuttle bus. I believe the shuttle is $20 - $25 per person. Not sure if children are less.

No problem with food options. It was actually easier to get a better variety of snacks late at night on the Adventure. Shows are shows, you like some, others you don't. In my opinion, production shows are better (more modern and high tech) on the Anthem.

I've been on both this summer. Didn't have a problem on either. Do you have specific questions?

I was attending the captain's question and answer session on one of the last sea days on that cruise. Capt Ban was asked what was the worst cruise he ever had to deal with. Two seconds latter, and without hesitation, he said "This one". I think this says it all. I myself was accused of harassment because I gently tapped a woman on a shoulder to step aside because my wife was trying to pass by in her scooter. And this was done because she ignored three verbal requests by myself for her to step aside!!!!!

The timing might be off on the Adventure sai!ings. I heard she would immediately replace the Anthem. Maybe she'll go north in May when her current schedule is finished.

From April 20 through the fall 20 it is rumored to be the Adventure. Not sure after that.

If you board at noon and have lunch, can you leave the ship for  a couple of hours and then reboard? If so, do I need to recheck in, or just flash my ships id card?

That is for the 9 day New England/Canada trip. The 11 day is the Southern Caribbean with 2-3 sea days going down and the same going back.

Or you can take 440 from Jersey City.

You are correct in your assumptions. It will be the first full sea day, and the next to the last sea day.

Adventure is rumored to replace the Anthem in Bayonne in April 20. This could be time that it happens.
