  1. You might reach out to your local quilt guild for advice. I don't quilt anymore but when I did and belonged to a quilt guild there were always women willing to help with questions like yours. If you don't have a quilt guild near you, you might try emailing the Austin Area Quilt Guild. They are large and have a robust guild.
  2. Plus windmills on land kill birds including eagles. Windmills along our coasts are killing and stranding marine mammals.
  3. Love the plastic bags. Not only do they make it easy to bring my groceries home I use one every day for the kitty litter. It really helps keep the trash can clean.
  4. The problem with just a Google search or the cruise line's FAQ is that what is written and what actually happens is often different. The website's are often out of date. Customer service is clueless. At least there is a chance asking a question you can get an answer from a few people who have actually been on the ship. For instance: the sign may say 18+ but is the crew enforcing it. What are people actually wearing to dinner vs. what is written. How does it work getting OBC cashed out in the casino etc. Yes you may get wrong answers but sometimes you get correct answers that help.
  5. @dani negreanuI am glad you updated us and you are ok. I don't have to words to express my sadness at what you are going through and wish that somehow we could transport you to safety. My prayers are with you and your country.
  6. @Sea DogGlad you got your tooth fixed and are ready to go, but so sorry about your brother in law. Looking forward to your live from.
  7. Where do you think the large gyres of plastics came from? A straw that blew overboard or from Asian countries throwing their trash in the ocean?
  8. I now have a lifetime supply of plastic straws to take with me on trips. No paper or candy for me. I don't want to carry a reusable one and have to go wash it out and dry it each time either. Plastic use once and then throw away.
  9. Not really needed but would be so nice in our bathroom. If we ever have to redo that floor I would be tempted.!
  10. Jeans and maybe a tee. If there is a breeze add a sweater. 3 degrees less and add a jacket. I have lived way to long in the south.
  11. Haven't had to turn the heat on yet, but as soon as the house gets below 73 inside on it goes. My inside temp. range is 73 to 77.
  12. I know. I also enjoy the first day getting on early, not dealing with our carry on luggage, nice quiet lunch. We need internet anyway.
  13. That is one reason we get the Key. Still an early morning but a nice leisurely breakfast and a no line walk to get our luggage.
