I love the show "Elsbeth" Jim like it also. I loved watching her on "The Good Wife" years ago. Elsbeth cracks me up! She's kind of like a female "Columbo"😁
I love Elsbeth too. One of my favorite shows.

Yes I am torn between which one to tour. Maybe Iowa first as I’ve have never been on a Navy warship. Maybe tour the QM on our next visit. If the Iowa is anything like the USS Alabama I would tour it first.

It would be nice if they would let me keep a bit of what I work for.🙄🤨
I just want to be able to use the "kids" as deductions. Lol.

I do make quarterly payments. Let's just say my estimates were "slightly" off last year. Very untypical of me.🙄😑😢🤧
Been there done that. Definitely a drinking moment for sure. At least you didn't loan the government money all year. 😒

I'm sitting in a hospital having a cup of coffee while still digesting yesterday's visit to my accountant. I suspect that you are going to have a better day than I am.😊
Have a great time!
Do you.make estimated quarterly payments. It still hurts but in smaller bites and more often. Sigh.

Thank you, Dorothy, same here.
Too many unknowns right now, we're fearing an attack from Iran, and no cease fire as yet.....
Stay safe and sending prayers your way.

"Breaking" the long drive is very clever.
Our "standard procedure" is to arrive at least 2 days before a cruise sailing from Europe and at least 3 days from US.
For the Bella 2.0, we aim to book a direct flight which will land us early morning of January 30th, for the February 2nd sailing date 🤞
I am so excited you will be on Bella 2.0 I can't wait to be able to say Hi in person.

Smooth finishes seem to show imperfections. Our house, built in 1970 has plaster walls with a swirl finish.
What I didn’t know, until we did a full kitchen remodel in the 90’s, was that the kitchen designer could tell who did the plaster work by looking at the swirl pattern. We dropped the ceilings over the new cabinets and put in can lights. We said we wanted the dropped part to have the same swirl pattern as the rest of the house. They said “Oh, so and so is still working, so we can have him in to match it.”
When we had a guy redo our small bath a couple years ago. We had him do the same finish.
Our next project is just a repainting of our master bath. Took the wallpaper border off last week, and the new one arrived yesterday. New curtains are here, so now we are looking at paint colors to go with all of it.
This is the swirl pattern that will get a new color.
I love that pattern.

Guess who stopped by yesterday for quick xrays before being transported to a refuge with the proper permits (but no X-Ray machine). The picture is from the transporter who posted it on book of faces so it is ok for me to post. We are not allowed to take pictures of our patients.

For those who might want to come down a night earlier, 10 rooms added to the hotel block a night earlier. Bella 2.0
"FYI, I just had 10 rooms added for the night of the 31st if anyone was coming down 2 days early."
We are coming down a night earlier. It is a long drive so it gives us a day to decompress and do something fun.

For Bella 2 we are going with our "friends" block of rooms for 2 nights. I will book in the morning

@Jimbo I have a couple of questions about your Greenland cruise. Did you need bug hats? Did you need local currency and if so how did you get it and how much did you exchange? Thank you.

Thanks for asking. Very slight improvement, but it's almost 2 weeks!!! Yes, I've been to the family doctor a week ago, he prescribed a syrup for my awful cough, said my lungs are clean, just give it time.... ☹️
I wish there was a hug emoji and not just like and thanks. So frustrating not getting over a cough. Take care.

For a warm weather cruise I usually wear capris, t shirt and sandals. We pa k our swim suits in our carry one so we can hit the pool after lunch. For a cold weather cruise I will wear jeans, long sleeve shirt, or sweater and my hiking boots.

Mine is 33 days and still no cruise docs or luggage tags.
Is this normal?
All I can get so far are the set sail passes. Maybe at 30 days out the rest will show up.

Our cruise is in 39 days and I wanted to print out the luggage tags but can't find them to print. Where are they hiding them these days?

When EVs are all that and a bag of chips people will want to buy them. Until then they will be expensive yard art on dealer lots. I am also keeping my gas stove and my ceiling fans.
