On the R ships you seem to meet the same people on the cruise more often Sometimes on the larger ships you may not see the same people again on the same sailing We like both as said above we go for the itinerary both size ships it will depend on your ship mate whether you can get extra reservations or not E ships have only 2 Specialty restaurants ..no La Reserve or Privee for extra dining options some do not like the smaller cabins A to G along the smaller W/C that goes with that option We do not mind YMMV

Nautica started new cruise today maybe there will be some updates later to the NEW improved policies 😉

Jan I think part of the problem is some phone reps at O are not well trained or are confused then passing on mis information Post #27 for example JMO Lyn

the ships are small & the cabins are small compared to some main stream lines entertainment is not the big productions shows If you have specific concerns/questions many here are happy to answer

we probably did not get point because the cruise line has contracts for low /bulk fares All I know is we did not get points on a couple of flights via the cruise line

In some cases the airfare is paid via the cruiseline so not attributed to you this is when we did not get points only for the upgrade we did at check in YMMV

I wish they would get rid of the 2 for 1 crap & the O Life perks Just sell the beverage packages & shore excursion deal to those that want them It is all marketing BS to confuse pax JMO

They usually have it in the Terrace at dinner go to the grill station at the back wall

In the past on cruises with these groups I noticed the group usually have an evening cocktail hour with snack & drinks provided Does your group mention this for their guest ? It is usually a few nights during the cruise I have noticed they have these gatherings

do you mean Waves Grill ? In the past it closed at 4pm & did not open for dinner have they changed the hours now ?

Your onboard experience is usually a lot better than Customer service on land but the way things are going all bets are off Some TA's are better connected with O than others 😉 JMO

LOL All the staff want to be home for the holidays so how does that work when they have a contract that say they are there for X number of months ?

as I have posted before the daily gratuity is for wait staff in dining venues & Housekeeping

or you could have taken NO O LIFE & just paid the $600 if you used it all at the end of the cruise The OBC perk is NON REFUNDABLE Enjoy the cruise

not AT I would take a non stop flight on any of the others or at least one with a 2+ hr layover in case of delays Start checking now & book soon In the past pre covid we would book in Jan during some sales on KLM when going for Jun cruises JMO

sorry but I have sailed with O since 2004 & it is the same story phone reps giving misinformation but you can make up your own mind what to believe Enjoy the cruise
