What other ports do you stop at?

Not that I book GTY but I do not think Oceania gives a discount like some other lines do You get what you pay for or a upgraded category (even if you do not think it is an upgrade) JMO

If you are docking in Quebec City I see there is a shop near the cruise port La Petite Cabane à Sucre de Québec 94 Rue du Petit Champlain, Québec, QC I have not been there but may check it out this weekend when we dock Just look for pure Maple syrup it is in the tourist area so might be more expensive

My opinion only But sometimes it is who is in the kitchen doing the cooking Heard stories of some cooks messing with the dishes of other cooks different Nationalities sometimes clash in the kitchen 👎

Or maybe they just did not want to catch something from others I wish we had thought of wearing masks on our TA in 2019 where a lot of people were sick with a respiratory virus $600 for meds for DH we got off lucky others had big medical bills

We had 2 FCC's & were applied to a cruise we already had booked It may depend on the FCC both of ours came from Oceania -

personally I would go for the 1st night You will need to be onboard by at least 5 pm so maybe 6 pm No matter when you schedule it there will be people unhappy about the timing -
