P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?

Oh poor Cheddar. Those surgical suits are the best and much better than the cone. You will get “the look” tho! -

Their pads can get burnt too! I’ve been known to carry Freddie to the car to avoid the pavement if it’s hot 😇 Missing a walk won’t kill a dog, but walking one in the heat just might 😢 -

I’m obviously not “sprayed” on the sofa - altho it sounds very tempting! 🤣🔫💦 I meant “splayed” - but “relaxed” is probably the better option of word! -

I wouldn’t bother taking Bruno out at lunchtime when it’s warm - they are much happier cooling themselves on the bathroom tiles! 30c here, so Freddie is going nowhere! He is asleep and I’m sprayed on the sofa. -

I walked Freddie for the only time today at 0630 when it was very pleasant but it’s now 24c (0900). We also saw the meteor display last night. Have a good day everyone. -

The rain (for once) is very welcome. I’m hoping the forecast is correct and it will here in Dorset stop around 8am….. I am enjoying the Olympics and viewing is always more enjoyable when team GB &NI are successful in winning medals! My only criticism would be there is too much waffle at times on the main BBC channels. Have a good day everyone -
Silly to ask questions I'd appreciate answers to!

A deck on Aurora is indeed called Arcadia. B deck is Britannia C deck is Canberra etc etc i don't think they mind who your emergency contact is. My emergency contact lives 200 miles from me! -

@delgirl I’m sorry to hear that. How are you now? -
Fab. I have some friends on that cruise (1st time on a ship and in their 60s) so hoping you get a good display.

Ooh that makes me realise I’ve made a wise decision as I use A31/M27. I had that op on toe nearly 50 years ago and never suffered again! Yes, feet up after! -
That’s a lovely cruise. Are you doing it on Aurora?

Good morning. After a ridiculously warm evening and night (altho we had some rain around 5am) it is starting to warm up again now. Freddie has been walked early and will no doubt be asking for his lunch soon! We were going into Surrey today for a picnic with friends and to visit my Mum’s grave (17 years ago today she passed), but I think she will be pleased I opted to stay at home in the relative cool. I’m also watching the triathlon this morning but I also thoroughly enjoyed the tennis and the swimming last night (at one point I had tv on for tennis and ipad on for the swimming!). Have a good day everyone. Gill x -
I’m going on Iona. Went on her this year and was surprised how much I enjoyed my week’s cruise (I’m an Aurora girl…..). Thanks for the tip about sitting on right hand side AND leaving something on my seat at waterfall….🤣
-
Yes, I’ve made a note to do that as have already booked the train!

Thanks for posting Sarah. I’m going to Flam next year on my cruise so I was very interested in your report from there. Gill x

I stayed at JPL too when we had a 7 day land tour from Calgary to Vancouver prior to joining the Sun Princess (@1995) for a cruise up Alaska. Fab hotels (Banff Springs, Lake Louise, JPL, a night on the train and then a night at the Empress). -
Aurora Balcony Cabin A203 - any information/views
Angel57 replied to Megabear2's topic in P&O Cruises ( UK )
Personally I would be very happy with that cabin - what a splendid upgrade! I wouldn’t be concerned by what is above your cabin (Riviera pool) unless there is a deck party there (not many of them and it would usually finish by 2330) and no issues below. -

This site is a bit unstable on my iPad this afternoon (kept asking me to log in multiple times, which I didn’t and so waited til now when it seems to be working again!)…. -

Good morning. Have great holidays @Eglesbrech and also @brian and like others have said, I do hope your wife’s back is a little easier this morning as nothing worse than travelling with a bad back/sciatica. Loved the Gretna Green photos @grapau27 - somewhere I have never been to. I often think to myself that there are so many places in the UK that I’ve never been to (Isle of Wight as an example) and yet I’ve been to so many places around the world. I must try and remedy that over the next few years! Have a great day. Gill -
Sailed with him as Captain of Iona for the first time last month and I thought he was fabulous and obviously had a great rapport with passengers and crew alike….. what a shame that P&O couldn’t retain him. I wish him lots of luck.
