  1. If the rate you are seeing is on the Exciting Deals it is only available for new bookings. You should still be able to do a paid upgrade.
  2. It may seem frivolous until you have a client that gives you an invalid credit card number, wrong cvv, closed the account, etc and has zero sense of urgency to return your calls and then is past the due date. But it’s still the TA’s fault. Just dealt with this earlier today on travel that was way more expensive than a cruise. 6 messages and 3 email follow ups and I’m still the bad guy.
  3. There’s been no way to tell lately. It’s even been different ship to ship. Your e-docs will have a form toward the end or check when you board. The form they have online is 6 months to book for the OBC and a default refund if unused after 12 months. You can still book between month 6 and 12, you just lose out on the OBC.
  4. No. If you had gratuity included originally they carry over. You only pay additionally if there is a difference in the gratuity rate between your original cabin and your new cabin. That has been the standard since MoveUp was introduced.
  5. This has happened on direct bookings ever since tips were absorbed into the fare under various structures over the years. Leave it alone. You may be prolonging the issue by continually removing them.
  6. For several years now tour busses are banned from the city/historical center. They have significant restrictions in a second ring around the city center which is why you'll see most of the touring coaches stopping outside of the city. That particular Crown Plaza is one of the closest locations they can reach.
  7. If it's an invoice the TA creates that really doesn't solidify anything. Obviously they know they made a big error. I'm still not sure I would accept their offer. It sounds like it may just be more headache to deal with after the cruise.
  8. Did you get a copy of the booking confirmation directly from Celebrity? Not the TA issued invoice, the actual document on Celebrity letterhead?
  9. Not very often have I encountered to someone at that point but it happens. I have seen a guy get cut off at the Sunset Bar. He was speaking in cursive at that point so ordering a drink was a challenge for him. Security was lingering around the corner slightly out of sight. Also have seen the pool bar servers avoid certain sections all together after a group of 5-6 hilarious (or so they thought) beer chuggers had been camped out in the same corner of the pool the entire day. We also had a man who fell asleep/passed out while upright in Luminae. It made the staff far more uncomfortable than anyone else. He was an every bit of 350lbs and had he took a stumble on his exit he could have easily wiped out a few tables. The bartenders and security probably have better awareness of certain people than you may think but they also try to avoid any altercation.
  10. I wish they would mention how many people book Cruise Only then turn around and buy drinks and WiFi. I suspect it's a decent amount. Sometimes you can explain the cost benefit until you are blue in the face. There are some 'math adverse' people out there who just can't make it click.
  11. You can still complete check in on the website like you’ve been able to do for years. However doing it on the app is hardly a hassle. It takes 1-2 minutes.
  12. I've experienced both. Including one of the SV's on E class next door to the aft Sky Suites that are really too narrow for 2 chairs + lounger. I think the lounger on SV's in general is the exception not the rule.
  13. People like to complain about inconsistency. A hard no across the board seems pretty consistent to me.
  14. That's not been the case for a year now. Starting last September when the new WCB menus came out they have been a lot more flexible. The back page of the menu now lists beers and wines and they will make simple drinks. https://profcruise.com/celebrity-bar-menus-2023/#world
  15. 1 of 3 things will happen: 1. Incrementally reduce inclusions and go completely a la carte like Royal Caribbean which allows them to advertise a lower base fare. (This was the real reason cruise-only rates were introduced after AI) 2. Let the dust settle on removing gratuities then rename All Included to something more fitting. 3. Let the dust settle on removing gratuities then offer a 2/3/4 inclusion option like in the past that offers a one-to-one match for the current All Included/drinks and WiFi setup. Ever since drink packages were introduced (~2103?) the name of the inclusion packages have changed over time. 1/2/3 Go, Go Big, Go Better, Go Best, Always Included, etc. over time.
  16. There is some verbiage along these lines in emails going back several months. I don't think this is new at all. Labor Day Flash Sale: **Offer applies to bookings made between August 30, 2023 – September 4, 2023 (“Offer Period”), and applies to select sailings departing September 10, 2023 – December 27, 2024, excluding chartered sailings (the “Offer Cruise”). 17. March 1 would be the last Caribbean cruise then a March 8 westbound 13 night TA to Barcelona, dry dock, then presumably spend the rest of the summer in Europe but nothing beyond that is on sale yet.
  18. They will definitely serve a cocktail with egg whites. The Strawberry Fields on the old World Class Bar menu had an egg white. I think a few of the Eden cocktails do also. You can also use aquafaba but I've never seen them use that on a ship. Or any cocktail that has a lot of pineapple juice just needs shaken harder and you'll get some foam. If you want an espresso martini my suggestion would be avoid the machine. They are horrible and tasted very metallic for some reason. Ask them to make a proper one for you and it's 10x better.
  19. I'm not sure how anyone would consider them claustrophobic. You have the normal balcony railing and opening along with a nearly floor to ceiling window on one side. Personally I would be likely to choose one of these over an S1.
  20. Leave it alone and ignore it for a few days. It takes some time for everything to get rectified and balance out on their side.
  21. Unless prevailing rate drops significantly (which it won't) there would be virtually no chance this is beneficial. Any group space through the end of 2024 is essentially unaffected by the All Included change. They will continue to have gratuities included and refundable deposits.
  22. That's anyone's guess. Group pricing will become key and very valuable through the end of 2024 sailings. They have adjusted the guidelines a bit since this was announced. If you're not using a good TA right now that is a big miss.
  23. Any status match on the first matrix gets you VV's Sea Rover status. You have to match by 12/31/2023 and sail by 12/31/2024. You get a stackable 10% discount, $100 extra bar credit, $10 daily coffee credit, a concierge, laundry perks, premium WiFi and upgrade VIP boarding. Their embarkation process is different and a bit of a mess so this does have some value. A bit of a sticking point amongst people here - their deposits are 20% and nonrefundable after 7 days from booking.
  24. Virgin Voyages is also offering a match https://www.virginvoyages.com/sailing-club https://www.virginvoyages.com/sailing-club/eligible-loyalty-programs
