An interesting choice for a Cove Balcony. A lovely view of people boarding, but not an issue at sea or any other time before final debarkation. No life boat above, though.

Assorted swag. They had leftover assorted pins freely handed out (while supplies lasted).

There was Funfetti Cake, but oddly pint sized. They claimed it was the same, which it clearly wasn't. But taste was good. I think German Chocolate was available everyday.

Since I barely have time to unpack, do laundry, begin tax prep, and repack (not to mention some fencing work, and whatever else was added to the list) before the flight to the next cruise, this may be a spotty review. First meal on the ship was from Guy's and it was tasty as always, with toasted buns perfectly sized for the beef.

I don't think either at the moment, but you could contact the hotel and ask. I think the hotel is set up more for people vacationing in Galveston and not cruisers

Spirit is relocating to Mobile, but Carnival probably makes more money selling New Orleans as a final port compared with Mobile, not to mention New Orleans has an International Airport.

Thank you. It was amazing.The hotel is right on Seawall Blvd (across from the Gulf of Mexico). Less than 3 miles to the port.

Thank you. Yes, of course. I'm sure the enthusiasm of the initial posts will wane and peter out to be resurrected sometime after the cruise. At least that is how it usually turns out. But it does reduce my losses in the casino. 🙂

The hotel bar does have liquor, however, and there are liquor stores near by

Currently in Galveston - staying at a brand new Home 2 Suites. I think opened Dec 1 - I booked many months before that for half of the current rate. I think it is well worth it. It seems to be combined with a Tru - both by Hilton. I was pleasantly surprised to find there is a bar connected to the hotel (although I think operated independently). If you go there, ask for Sawyer. 🙂

Booked. I should also have Internet anywhere I can pick up land cell service, which may also be slim.

Perhaps you are the Mobile for cruise directors? Or maybe Carnival is changing the retirement benefits?
