  1. Just keep telling yourself that Deck 16 is really Deck 13 (if they had a Deck 13) on most other Carnival ships. The decks are numbered differently on Excel class ships. Our Cove Balcony was on Deck 5, which is really Deck 2, and so on.
  2. Well, we really only have one, unverified story of something that allegedly happened on a cruise and we all know that everything on the Internet is true, complete, and unbiased.
  3. Why didn't you? We were in 5234. Numero Uno cove. Hell, we could have passed in the hall.
  4. I can't believe some are attempting to defend the actions of a racist drunk, the true degenerate.
  5. First there would need to be an investigation. We know the earliest he could have gone over. We really aren't sure of the latest - he could have gone over after being reported missing. There should be a good approximation of how much alcohol he was served from the bar receipts. I think obviously not a great deal of time or money is going to be spent on investigating.
  6. I'll try this again. I'm thinking luggage not on the ship is outside of Carnival's control. Dock workers are not Carnival employees. The luggage was not on the ship, therefore was not under Carnival's control.
  7. A search of the vessel involves multiple notifications over the PA system for everyone to check in. Once they account for everyone not missing that phase is over
  8. I don't think anyone disputes he was plucked from the water, but says nothing about what time he went in or where, or how. Maybe he climbed over a rail or other barrier to do something illicit and was looking for a location where he wouldn't be busted. Maybe it was a stunt and he was bobbing on a flotation device until he knew he would be rescued. or maybe....
  9. I think a good no call. I would have put the drunk off at the next port.
  10. The authorities do not know how, when, or where he went over, so he could have not only been in US waters, but also Louisiana waters.
  11. Prolly a win for the casino either way. I often find it cheaper to take a break and go buy a drink
  12. He obviously wasn't picked up where he went over. How many miles would the Mississippi have carried him ? At New Orleans, the river flows about 3 miles per hour.
  13. My turn. Why didn't the MOB cameras pick up the man falling? The state is Louisiana and would be Louisiana laws. Why wasn't the man forthcoming with how he ended up in the water? Do you mean there are no consequences for someone who ends up in the water? He certainly should be kept for observation and a mental evaluation of some sort.
  14. If other drugs were also involved. If someone doctored his drinks wouldn't that be a crime? Then there might be criminal assistance to (attempted) suicide. Could it have been a stunt?
  15. Obviously alcohol was involved. I wonder if they tested his blood?
  16. Shocking? Well, this is the Carnival board. I could have posted about the passenger shoved overboard on NCL last month.

  18. You can try. How did you order the bottle? If you ordered online you should be able to cancel online. and you can buy the beverage package online, but both of you would need to purchase.
  19. I don't pick or reject cruises by ship alone. That would be foolish. Itinerary, date, and other factors are also considered.
