  1. It could take a lot of minutes if the SS cards were in the wrong spot and the had to go look for them. They also had to take your picture but now pick it off of your passport, if available
  2. We were on the Vista Inaugural out of Trieste. Set right or not, at least we had more toys on the table. It had no impact on the taste of our food. I've seen staff pilfer table settings from other stations when they didn't have enough for their own. I doubt the staff was really removing tableware from the MDR - I think more likely passengers played a part. I've seen passengers stealing those god awful fake shells. FFS.
  3. You can open the fire doors and go to your cabin anyway. If the steward is still working on it, the door will be open. If not, the S&S card may already be waiting.
  4. Not like this year. I'm used to them on Delta, but we have 3 different flights on 3 different airlines. Of course 2 are to LHR.
  5. Flying these days is a crap shoot at best. For our next fly to cruise I am putting both airtags and tile pro trackers in all checked bags. And as I type, I see the flights for a cruise later this year have changed, AGAIN.
  6. i don't have plans to cruise on NCL whatever their policy. I don't like them in general.
  7. It speeds up embarkation and cabin stewards have to visit all the staterooms anyway. I have not heard of theft and there are cameras everywhere should someone try to use a stolen card.
  8. I have both Android and Apple phones so may give it a go.
  9. Are we talking about the same Carnival that did away with tablecloths, cocktail forks, and butter knives? Get real
  10. Unlike hotdogs, a normal person can't eat a nickles worth of spaghetti (at wholesale prices).
  11. FIFY Because NCL follows the science.
  12. You'd think I'd committed a war crime. The proprietor was very offended.
  13. The cruise industry is suffering, but not from lack of passengers. At least not Carnival.
  14. I remember thinking I was going to be thrown in jail for cutting my spaghetti in Italy one time. Sheesh.
  15. I think all that has happened is the CDC and NCL are dropping any responsibility for what happens, and also for passengers to figure out the requirements themselves for individual ports that allow it. You didn't know you needed a pre-cruise test to exit at this port? Too bad, so sad.
  16. Not exactly. Starting Sept. 3, fully vaccinated travelers who are 12 or older will no longer have to test before boarding a ship on Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Requirements could still vary depending on local regulations at different ports, “including but not limited to Canada, Greece and Bermuda,” the announcement said.
  17. I dunno. I know a number of prospective engineers that flunked out of college only to be accepted into the Navy nuclear program with open arms.
  18. I would think Cucina cooks spaghetti the "proper" way. Maybe not.
  19. I now have over 200 offers added and still no Carnival. Maybe next time.
  20. I don't think the cooks on Carnival eat much spaghetti. The only reason for not breaking spaghetti is so you can twirl it around a fork. But as with wine, whatever floats your boat is the proper way for you.
  21. Well, it says you can't cast... New Title: Can I cast NFL+ content to my Smart TV or connected device? No, NFL+ does not support casting at this time. While some features of NFL+ are limited to viewing on a phone or tablet, NFL+ content—like game replays, live game audio, and on-demand programming —can be accessed through your TV or connected device from the NFL App.
  22. I'll probably try it, but I think they said there was a way they could stop that.
