Meanwhile at Parking Spot, several of the covered parking roofs had collapsed onto the vehicles parked beneath. Oops. I tried park between taller vehicles so they would take the brunt if it happens again tonight.

We took the same flight a few weeks ago. The plane had a check engine light on they couldn't extinguish. After sitting on the plane for hours they decided the plane wasn't going anywhere. The put us on a substitute plane and off we went 4 hours or so later. I hope history doesn't repeat.

No. I would ask on your Pride cruise in July if they know. I would think the Steakhouse would let you switch reservations, if space available. My guess would be the first full sea day and the second to last full sea day. The first and last nights of the cruise won't be elegant nights. Port days won't have elegant nights (on this cruise)

Actually not the case. I've overheard a couple of drunks on Princess boasting that they were banned from Carnival.

It's neither a scam nor illegal. It's the rule. Deposits aren't free money, they are liabilities to Princess. etc., etc. ,etc. Oh, and I'm Diamond on Carnival, Elite on Princess, etc. etc.

If you wait until the final day to pay and don't pay in full in one transaction the system can kick out these notices.I've gotten one before followed shortly after by one that said paid in full zero balance owed.

Don't sweat the small stuff. It will be fine. 6 weeks is what a lot of them are running. Carnival Glory just had a dry dock that was a little over 3 weeks and everything was fine. Carnival Legend (same class as Miracle) is currently in dry dock for about 3 weeks. I would think someone would be available much earlier for reservations. I would think they allow for some walk ups - perhaps ask about the best times to try that.

No marketing (loyalty) program is sustainable without change. Better if you don't cruise for bribes (perks) but for brand(s) you prefer.

I don't recall any raise seal. They were printed on "special" paper but really, Carnival knows who has used the perk and who hasn't. I kept misplacing my letter and got it reprinted a few times before finally using it.
