  1. Did you ask the someone in your group for a source of the false rumor? A link? Some evidence?
  2. https://www.thestreet.com/travel/in-defense-of-carnival-cruise-line-and-its-fun-ships#:~:text=Fights on Carnival Cruise Line, hurts the cruise line's reputation.
  3. Even if they charged you, you should have received a discount.
  4. This is very close to my experience, including several cruises within the past year.
  5. We usually can get cans of soda against the package. One of two bars might default to glasses.
  6. Some people actually believe Google is a truth engine.
  7. People who play the lottery and gamble ignore good statistics, yet some still win. If you are in bed before 2am, you aren't going to see a fight on Lido that happens an hour later.
  8. I bet those staterooms weren't in service. Same with Victory.
  9. Commonly referred to as lies, damn lies, and statistics. Meaningless.Too much context is missing. Besides, much crime goes unreported, just like on land.
  10. Disney sure looks like they must be infested with criminals.
  11. On the recent drydocks of Glory and Legend, ALL of the hallway carpeting was replaced - not a piece by piece bit. I've seen an occasional mattress replaced, but not ALL of them. To replace bedside lamps with USB and US outlet versions requires some electrical work and inspection. It requires more than unskilled labor.
  12. with twice the passengers? How many passengers do Disney and MSC carry? The cruise lines which saw the most crimes committed on their vessels in 2023 include: Carnival Cruise Line: 51 incidents Royal Caribbean Cruise Line: 27 incidents Disney Cruise Line: 20 incidents MSC Cruise Lines: 10 incidents
  13. They have to pay for "'expensive' drydock time anyway, for required below the waterline maintenance. Lots going on during drydocks. The staff that would install the lights is not the staff that is painting the hull. I've been on lots of cruises and never seen any kind of maintenance like that performed during a cruise.
  14. That's true of just about everything above the waterline. But it is disruptive to passengers, and faster and easier if they aren't in the way.
  15. Nothing major. Significant changes were made during the previous drydock. No insiders here. Just armchair admirals. 🙂
  16. If you have questions regarding your Milestone rewards, please contact our Milestone's Desk at 877-CCL-VIPS.
  17. I'm not lowering my standards to cruise on MSC just for pizza. The newest Celebrity ships may have good pizza but I wasn't impressed on the older ships. I don't see Princess charging more for the pizzas than they do for the specialty pizzas. I can see the price of Plus, etc. packages going up. I'm kind of surprised they haven't yet. In any event, I can't wait to try the new pizzas!
  18. If you see something, say something works for me.
  19. You should not be, but probably are and why not? 25% of almost nothing is almost nothing.
  20. I think there are still plenty of people willing to cruise on basically free casino cruises. And no lack of the big spenders with DOUE clogging up Alchemy.
  21. First cruise or 100th, Princess customer service sucks. In the past, Princess has been more than happy to sell you accessories on the ship. AFAIK, they still are and do. Amazon and Walmart likely have cheaper options (and more expensive). Have you tried deleting the app and reinstalling? It sounds like you've already spent more time trying to fix than it would take at the port to get your medallion there.
  22. If you just want the card, you don't have to notify them. If you want the reward, you have to notify them in advance. Here are the rules, terms, and conditions: https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1173/~/guest-recognition---milestone-rewards-program Just make sure your Carnival account accurately reflects your cruise count. It would be extremely unusual for you to not automatically receive the milestone card.
