  1. My first Princess cruise was 2005 (first cruise was in the 70s), and I still have miles to go. I still remember some young Princess cruisers whining about this or that and then I looked looked at some old salts who just took it all in stride. Probably shaking their heads on the inside.
  2. Ambulance chasers aren't interested in a percentage of an FCC which has no cash value and isn't transferable, anyway.
  3. I wonder what the Old Guard thinks vs Princess cruisers who started after Carnival bought the company? I imagine they think it has gone downhill ever since, yet many still cruise. Resources on a cruise ship are limited and shared by all. Princess isn't going to give you more - there is nothing more to give.
  4. Changing planes in MIA was a complete cluster. It took forever to get our luggage to transfer and then had to go through TSA BS again. We didn't have any, but too bad if you purchased duty free in BCN - you had to toss it. We just had water to pitch and had been through enough at that point. Pour it out into their bin and carry the empty bottles through with us. Take that! 🙂 What was about a 3 hour layover left us barely time to get to the gate before the next plane boarded. Never again. The next flight was on a 737 that was completely full. Luckily we got off of the ground and landed safely in DFW.
  5. Breakfast (really sort of lunch time) was bizarre. https://montysbakehouse.co.uk/
  6. I liked our seats - we had a row of 2 with decent legroom with easy access to bathrooms
  7. The flight from BCN to MIA was comfortable and I had the opportunity to watch the Beekeeper.
  8. We were able to use the Sala Miro lounge and it was nice enough with some included food, drinks (alcoholic and soft), and bathrooms. A comfortable way to kill a few hours.
  9. There was a line for VAT refund at the airport, and certainly not worth the few euros I would have received. Besides, I forgot the paperwork.
  10. Debarkation was smooth - no issues. Driver was efficient and we were quickly to BCN airport.
  11. McDonald's had a history of hot coffee complaints and their own research showed most people were going to drink it while in the car. It also spawned many copycat lawsuits. Truly the poster child of absurd awards of damages. MCD stock in the 90s was in the teens. It is now around $240. They should spill more coffee. It can be argued that no publicity is bad publicity. We have no idea what Carnival did with the room or if there has been any impact. This conversation is non-productive, just like the one sided conversation by someone who has had far more than her 5 minutes of undeserved fame.
  12. On Legend from Barcelona on a Med cruise I could carry on alcohol at embarkation with no issues, but at every port they had a liquor collection table collecting spirits. I could carry on beer and wine. This was a change from the past. No problem bringing on more sodas etc in cans.
  13. Typical false equivalence. and the McDonald's case was settled for considerably less before the appeal was heard. Ships are sailing full. So what if the casino gives away a few more cabins. Hell, the casino probably gave away the suite in the first place. Carnival rewards too much bad behavior as it is, which only leads to more.
  14. Instead of a court of law, she is trying her "case" in the court of public opinion where nobody is sworn in. That to me is a huge red flag. Carnival knows better than to fall for that BS. Carnival did put a statement on their website basically saying don't be an idiot.
  15. Tonight's dinner menu. We've started skipping the final night dinner in the MDR and have found it a whole lot less stressful. Have a cocktail or two, take our time packing and getting the bags out, and then finding something on Lido to eat. I found a new, old favorite. It was getting close to Deli closing time and they have run out of mny kinds of bread or really, chose not to open a new package that wouldn't be finished that night.
