  1. Yep. Carnival isn't interested in a bidding war for fickle customers who need enticements.
  2. Made it home late Thursday. Got to the Parking Spot and the remote for my vehicle did nothing. Terrific. But I keep spare batteries in the glove box. The remote does have a pop out sort of key so I could open the driver door, but then a new battery didn't improve things. The vehicle battery was completely dead. Thankfully the Parking Spot has a ginormous wheeled jump starter (and compressor!) that they brought out and promptly got the vehicle started. It seems fine now, so I'm not sure why it was dead, but will find out sooner or later. Ordered for next trip - portable jump starter - check!
  3. I know it was true on the last sea day brunch when I looked for it to specifically answer this question. Slide to the left.
  4. I think the grossest passenger I've seen was on a cruise not from New Orleans where a passenger ate off her plate with her fingers while going through the line and kicked her fingers before picking up the next set of rings. When she got to the midpoint, she started swimming upstream against all the passengers coming from the opposite direction insisting they were all going in the wrong direction.
  5. Didn't see any of that on the Carnival Glory transatlantic 14 day cruise that ended yesterday. I couldn't find a $6 room service PB&J, either.
  6. What I posted was from the app on the Glory transatlantic. I did not try ordering anything from them. There was also a gluten free brunch menu.
  7. The correct answer is we don’t know what kind of WiFi performance Splendor has today, much less at a date in the future. Why make everything personal?

  12. On Goport headed for MCO. Poor Freedom is here.
  13. Thank you. We don't even know which one, yet. We have lots of animals and the pet sitter doesn't know all their names. I'm not sure I do.

  15. The world turned upside down yesterday. Our pet sitter messaged us that one of our cats passed away and that is going to have an impact on future plans, especially longer cruises far from home. So I may not be posting much more to this thread for the next few days. Except for this The wait for a private table for brunch was 2+ hours, so I got my complementary drink and brought it up to Lido. Last call for bacon!
  16. The differences that made a difference to me are the bedside power points and a motion sensing light under one of the closets for the bathroom. All new carpeting is nice but won't be new long. Lots of new paint. The hotel director posted pictures during the dry dock. I'll have to see what he thought was significant One thing that is coming is a new digital phone system instead of the old analog one.
  17. Thank you. Probably not my best work, but I get to try again next month!

  19. I did. Carnival paid their dues. I am also impressed by the biodigesters Carnival has installed. Reduction in single use plastics. Etc. The software is just one piece, but it does help with consistency fleet wide.
