  1. It's in the contract. Even before the cruise, if you have Princess open the booking it will reprice to whatever the current port charges and fees are. At best, it is an estimate by Princess. They are usually close.
  2. Often the turnaround is that evening, but it depends on how many other people are sending laundry out. And toward the end of the cruise, how many people are trying to avoid doing laundry when they get home. If you wait too long, oops. Or they may cut off last laundry day earlier.
  3. I see the Royal denials and not even rumors with Carnival. I'm watching the first of 4 gas wells being drilled about 1000 feet from one of our houses and got a call from a company that wants to put a pipeline across some land I own in Texas. Enjoying the increase in royalty payments, but nobody can predict future events or what impact they might have on prices. To hedge is to potentially throw away profits. It is why Carnival doesn't hedge. I hope a more effective booster is released soon.
  4. Some cabins have them, some don't. Our cabin did not.
  5. A huge plus is NCL charges 20% gratuities on top of their free (HA) packages whether you use them or not.
  6. It always snows somewhere in August and I guess you were wrong.
  7. Carnival has never hedged fuel, yet it seems rumors about fuel surcharges mostly mention Royal? I don't know about a shortage in the US. Globally, sure.
  8. Internet (Voom or whatever) on Vision of the Seas was worse than anything I've had on Carnival. When I asked the Internet Manager about it, he indicated the best fix was to scrap the ship.
  9. So there was more to the story than some others are pretending.
  10. Weather related? As in whether of not they have staff? Yes, weather has been an issue, but not always. A plane is stuck by lightening almost every day somewhere.
  11. If they would just keep some of the hot air off of the ship the temps would drop.
  12. The rules don't make sense, but at least you are happy. That is all that matters.
  13. When Jimbo was done with it, it was only fit to be use for Camp Ocean.
  14. My experience with the strip loin was to never order it again - but that was my luck with the flat iron also, yet other people had better experiences.
  15. From what I saw regarding the strip loin from meagan's review, it looked quite edible.
  16. Royal still has weasel words Testing requirements vary by port of departure and vaccination status. Below are the published requirements for select ports. We are continually adding, monitoring and adjusting information on testing requirements as public health standards and government regulations evolve. Booked guests will be advised of the latest requirements for their port of departure before sailing
  17. Mud is in the eye of the beholder. The requirements can still change: All changes are subject to any requirements of destinations on the itinerary and these protocols will continue to evolve.
