Any news of RCCL going back to in person muster drills?
SherriZ366 replied to t18c97's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Or even medium size kids -- sailing with our 11 year old grandsons in August and it will be good for their parents to have them scanned and marked off early in the day. As I posted earlier, e-muster is beneficial to older people who have some mobility issues (even minor ones) as taking steps from a high deck to the muster station deck is really hard. Prior to e-muster, we often uses the elevators a half hour before muster and wait at our muster station. -
You know we always sail from Port Canaveral so it's harder to get a GS on Wonder because there are fewer of these suites. However, Allure is coming to Port C in November and we are doing a back2back on her in a GS -- don't care where she goes -- just want the suite/CK experience. Got a great price when sailings were released. About $2,000 less than a JS on Wonder. Knocking on CK's door doesn't bother me as long as we have a table -- I just pretend we're going to a Speakeasy during Prohibition. 🤣

Best choices for 150 Central Park

The 150 menu has changed since we ate there on Oasis in 2017. We may retry it for our next Wonder Cruise. -
Agree -- they can add relevant content to the video. I really love the e-muster and hope that people who will not take a few, non-regimented minutes to complete the process do not ruin it for everyone else. As steps are hard for me, we have to go down early so we can utilize the elevators for traditional muster and then wait until the elevators clear out to go back to our stateroom etc.

I was really happy to read this Royal Caribbean Blog post!!! in-person muster is hard for us as we usually have a stateroom on a higher deck and we need to go to our muster station while the elevators are still working. Often, this is when the Stateroom Attendant visits our cabin and takes our requests. I might be a tad obscessive about his but I hope RCI keeps e-muster forever -- it is a goo dsign that Carnival and its many brands are not going back to in-person muster. -

good idea. I don't want to go back to in-person muster and these idiots who will not complete a very simple process could spoil it for the rest of us. -

Good observation about colds, flu and noro -- this eliminates less COVID cases as an excuse to go back to in-person muster. Colds, flu and noro will always be with us. I think one good idea would be for the check-in employees in the terminal and the RCI staff that greet you as you board to emphasize the need to complete the e-muster. There are so many announcements about people not finishing their e-muster. With the Norwegian and Disney returns to traditional muster, I think it is imperative that cruisers complete the e-muster and support the simplified process. -

Norwegian Cruise Lines Holdings -- all brands-NCL, Regent and Oceana -- are going back to in- person muster. These changes will take place immediately for each ship's next sailing. Carnival has publicly stated that e-muster drills will remain in effect for the time being. It's good that Carnival is sticking with e-muster -- I hope this influences Royal Caribbean even though Norwegian and Disney are going back to in-person muster. Does anyone know if one of the Agencies that regulates cruising is pressuring the Cruise Lines to go back to In-Person Muster -- the Coast Guard possibly. I don't think the CDC would have anything to do with this except to declare that the COVID pandemic has subsided and large gatherings are once again ok. -
Didn't he retire?

Another cut being tested: Once per day cabin service
SherriZ366 replied to Tenderpaw's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The Cruise Hive Article stated that "The notice goes on to clarify that Junior Suite staterooms and higher categories will still receive 2 housekeeping services per day." Has anyone heard whether that is going to be the policy. We sail in a JS or a full suite and GS and higher have a higher gratuity charge. -
Wonder of the Seas oversold 12/11/22

I've seen OV and Neighborhood balconies get the offer on another social media site. A good portion of the cruisers booked guarantee staterooms. -
As shown by this picture, smoking on a balcony is a safety issue. One of the biggest threats to cruise ship is fire.

I have an email for Grandeur's Diamond Concierge. gr_diamondconcierge@rccl.com Why don't you email that Concierge and ask for the email for the Suite Lounge Concierge. One of the two emails that you referenced in your post should have worked as they are standard Royal Caribbean Concierge addresses. -
