  1. Good morning and thanks all! The drink recipes sound good and weā€™ve enjoyed Montepulciano wines. This one is from Tuscany not Abruzzo. Have been to Cartagena, Colombia only. @superoma happy birthday to your DH @grapau27 happy anniversary @ger_77glad youā€™re starting to recover @Quartzsite Cruiser sorry to hear of your reaction but I think itā€™s pretty typical, I had no reaction to the old type, but the new one kicked me hard both times and this was precovid. But I will gladly take that to avoid nasty shingles which everyone but me has had in our family. @StLouisCruisersglad you have a diagnosis, this is what I had and it did clear up, ice, elevation are your friends. Some photos of Montepulciano in Tuscany where todays wine is grown.

I remember all the dinted cars, Fileneā€™s basement and Salem. Have friends who drive in Manhattan, impressed our DS. not spumoni, but a beautiful ice cream cake, they had interesting flavours like Ube, Avocado, Durian and Jackfruit
  3. We went to a beach by taxi, and it was difficult to get a taxi back in early October. Suggest you make arrangements before hand if youā€™re off season and go in the morning to be on the safe side.

  6. Good morning! Sending prayers for speedy recovery for those with Covid. I had a nasty wasp sting , so the Benadryl is making me sleepy. @Cruising-along so glad your family is safe! We had Reports of people doing this early in the pandemic to out of towners! Yikes, Many years ago I was driving our truck and camper and had a blow out of a front tire, extremely scary. @marshhawklove your story and @RedneckBob yours too!
  7. Good morning and thanks all! @kazu I am just so sorry, this has been so mishandled by everyone but you! You have put your heart and soul into helping little shadow! Iā€™m glad you didnā€™t break anything, although sprains can be as painful if not more so! Please look after yourself!
  8. Yes, photo from the port. Last time we booked a private tour and visited the exquisite towns of Ortygia and Noto along with a tasting of Nero d Avila
  9. With luggage book a car transfer. Weā€™ve had great experiences with Rome cabs.
  10. We had a fabulous trip overnight to Meteora and Delphi booked with .Athens Taxi tours Michael Sterianos. We highly recommend his company for professional reasonable service, extremely accommodating provided a great driver.
  11. Good morning and thanks all! @aliaschief loved Eidfjord! Enjoy! we strayed a little further afield when we visited Koper, to beautiful Piran
  12. @StLouisCruisers. Great photos of my favourite city! Hopefully youā€™ll go again, weā€™ve been many times, but Iā€™m not ready to stop yet. So true how long it takes to read when youā€™re late to the party. Being in western Canada I really appreciate those who combine their posts as it makes it much easier to read. I always think about @erewhon who comes at the very end of the day, and how unwieldy it can become, so a special thanks to all those who make the extra effort.
  13. I agree with the advice. Las Ramblas is worth a miss, see La sagrada familia, and other of Gaudiā€™s works, find a nice tapas restaurant in the Lā€™eixample area.
  14. Good morning and thanks all, Lots of respect for the Navajo code talkers. Sorry to hear youā€™re unwell @ger_77, wishing you and DH a speedy recovery. Venice is one of my favourite cities. So magical, weā€™ve been fortunate to visit many times, last stay an apartment. Weā€™ve visited the Biennale twice, highly recommended as many of the palazzos are open to visit then With exhibits. Some of the art
  15. Good morning and thanks all! Glad to hear thereā€™s help for Tana. Iā€™m enjoying the photos of Copenhagen, weā€™ve visited three times pre digital. We enjoyed our hotel in Nyhaven along the canal in an old warehouse. We had such amazing experiences with the wonderful Danes. Particularly on our first arrival when by accident we ended up in the countryside at a Royal location when we missed our train stop. @Seasick Sailor lol, my dear grandmother was left handed and tried to teach me to Crochet, you must be a much better student šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸ˜‚
  16. Happy birthday Rich! so devastating for dear Jacqui. I have no words. a sad day here too, DSIL lost his mom last night.
  17. Absolutely! Donā€™t wait they go really quickly! We only had this offer once and I jumped on it, was wonderful, all the extra space and we scored an aft wrap with a huge balcony. Free laundry, the Neptune lounge, tender priority, breakfast at the pinnacle, conciergeā€¦. You only live once and thereā€™s no way I would pay full price. Iā€™ve paid close to that to upgrade to just a signature so itā€™s a great deal IMO.
  18. Weā€™ve flown BA, easy jet and Ryanair intra Europe. The absolute worst was Ryanair, not even a seat pocket, they handed out and collected the safety cards, Iā€™m 5ā€™ 5ā€ an I had to sit with my knees sideways, it was in no way a 30 inch pitch, this flight was about six years ago. So hopefully things are different. I would only ever fly Ryanair in Their premium, Easy jet was preferable, and BA much superior to either. I resent paying even for water on the others.
  19. Good morning and thanks all! Missing our dear Jacquiā€™s posts. Sorry to hear about more Covid, sending prayers for a quick recovery Tana and Geriā€™s son. Loving the photos! We visited Fortress Louisbourg when our children were little, our son who was about seven was accosted by a guard for being a British spy, as he was wearing a redcoat, I told him he could take it off, but he had a red shirt underneath šŸ˜‚ love Margarita pizza particularly in Naples
  20. Good morning and thanks all, hoping Tana improves soon! I love books, prefer real ones but love my kindle for travel, sure helps with the suitcase weight. I too read a lot, currently reading the Post mistress of Paris, just finished an interesting nonfiction called Red Notice that helps one understand oligarchs and Russia. Really enjoyed Beneath a Scarlet Sky based on a true story of a young Italian during WW2. Iā€™ve enjoyed Louise Penneyā€™s later books, particularly the one set in Paris and State of Terror that she co-wrote with Hilary Clinton. I like reading about places weā€™ve travelled to. Really enjoyed Pachinko set in Japan. Also love Lisa See, particularly Island of the Sea Women. Iā€™ll stop now, lol!
  21. good morning and thanks all. We visited Berlin from Warnemunde. Another very thought provoking place. Seeing the war memorial is really stunning as is the wall and Brandenburg gate. @dfish yum. @Heartgrove we loved Lyon and stayed near the station. Enjoy. The planning is half the fun.
