  1. Not Pantheon square...it's Piazza della Rotunda Not Romcabs.com...it's RomeCabs.com
  2. Sounds good if it works. Have you confirmed two claims will be honored by Chase Card Benefits Services?
  3. I specifically recall watching the Super Bowl while docked in Bonaire a few years ago, so we should be good next year.
  4. IMHO this is par for the course with Celebrity. They have an excellent product; however, their backoffce leaves a lot to be desired. We always book cruises through a TA. A good one will know who to contact to get these kind of issues rectified.
  5. You're very welcome. We're staying at Hotel Smeraldo for the first time for five nights in October.
  6. We like to stay in an area loosely defined by The Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Two hotels meeting your requirements during your stay are Hotel Smeraldo and Hotel Ponte Sisto. Although both are listed on various hotel booking sites, I suggest you check their own websites for best pricing. Rather than leave transfers up to your hotel, I suggest you book them yourself. There are other good ones, but we always use RomeCabs. Their pricing is usually better than what your hotel will offer and having direct contact with your provider in the event of a flight delay is a plus. This past September our flight from EWR to FCO was delayed by three hours. I notified RomeCabs and they adjusted their schedule to accommodate our late arrival. I don't know how it would have worked out if I were working through a middleman, the hotel, for our airport transfer.
  7. As @davekathy states, there's no issue with engine noise on that level. Also no vibration of any kind. We were maybe 100 feet from the forward elevators and found the location very convenient. We were in the Retreat...nearly everything we needed was on decks 12-16. Attractions on 4 are a quick ride down. The solarium, main pool, and Oceanview Cafe are all on 14...a ride up then easy walk aft. Disembarkation for port calls required a walk to the aft elevators, then down to 2. Tendering was quick and efficient. We've been on 60+ cruises and we agree our Edge cruise was one of our best ever!!
  8. We disembarked the Edge on November 11th after a 36-day B2B2B in 11104. We were just aft of the bridge and didn't find the fact that our forward view was blocked to be an issue at all. While sailing anything blocked by the bridge eventually came into view. If you're on deck 10 I'm thinking the bridge will not be much of an issue for you at all.
  9. This photo of the illy coffee machine was posted on the Splendor Transatlantic 04/05/22 roll call... I found it on Amazon here. The manual can be found here. I suggest you download it to you portable device in the event you need instructions. I'm thinking it can function without a pod for hot water. If not, a used pod that has been cleaned could trick the machine into thinking it's making coffee. According to the manual there's a cleaning cycle that should also provide hot water.
  10. We were on the Edge for 36 days including the TA. We never had a problem customizing any dish to our liking...including extra lobster and lamb chops. Waitstaff was eager to accommodate our requests.
  11. You need to order your alcoholic beverages from your butler. We disembarked the Edge on November 7th after 36 days and had no problem getting any beverage we wanted in our suite.
  12. Probably...but why would you want to? We were in the Retreat on the Edge for 36 days recently and after being served watered-down drinks there we ordered only champagne and wine after the first few days.
  13. The beverage package will work if you're in the Retreat...for room service and mini bar.
  14. Aperol spritz and antipasto are on the menu at every restaurant on Piazza Navona...take your pick. We go to Ai Tre Tartufi because the owner, Angelo, remembers us and provides excellent service and conversation.
  15. My thoughts exactly! Unless London is our final destination we'll do anything to avoid flying through LHR. Google Flights shows many 1-stop itineraries from DFW → CPH that do not include LHR.
  16. You’re more likely to get a response to your question if you post it in a new thread.
  17. We're using these magnetic hooks on the Edge right now on walls and ceiling. They're powerful and work very well.
  18. We're currently on the Edge and have used WhatsApp for voice calls over wifi. We have premium wifi and WhatsApp works very well.
  19. Perhaps I didn't state my question clearly. I was referring to pre-cruise check in only...not COVID testing requirements. We're currently crossing the Atlantic on a B2B2B on Celebrity Edge and we needed to check in to each segment separately pre-cruise. Would the same be required by Regent?
  20. What are Regent's check in requirements for B2B cruises? Are we required to check in for each segment or just the first segment?

    Euros

I've used ATMs all over Europe and have never come across one that dispenses coins. Totally agree. €10 wouldn't go very far for us.
  22. We're in a Celebrity Suite on the Edge right now...walls and ceiling are metal and attract magnets.
  23. Please tell me that's a rhetorical question... 🙄
