  1. Here's the 2023 coupons if anyone's interested https://static.cdn.responsys.net/i2/responsysimages/content/princessus/ShipwideSavingsCoupons2023.pdf?cid=om_email_promo_internal_precruise_precruise___shipwidesavings&eccn=EHCZTQ5CCWVLM4GW45AJURVR6E&rrid=8567731587&mi_u=8567731587&custId=EHCZTQ5CCWVLM4GW45AJURVR6E&mi_ecmp=
  2. Just got off the Royal. Last 2 days no watermelon in the buffet or good sprits. Other melons seemed less ripe. But we muttled through. Watermelon on fire (good spirts) was replaced with strawberries. Only peach yogurt the last day. And we survived.
  3. Absolutely can get off the ship after checking in on embarkment day. We frequently do this to drop off luggage, then go to wherever we want to pick up those incidentals that I'm unwilling to pay the airline for (IE wine, sunscreen, liquids). I've done this numerous times when flying.
  4. All of the bars also have juice. When we only utilized the soda and more package, I got pineapple juice every time. They also have orange and tomato. With the juice bar opening, there'll be more choices. It won't be open on the cruise I leave for in 3 days, so I can't tell you what's offered. There'll probably be a soft opening though.
  5. I had a heck of a time getting through on a fantastic rate. It took 4 browsers, hours and hours of time. But I was finally able to put a hold on 2 different categories at the price princess showed, one inside, other obstructed balcony. Then the problem started. The person I booked the cruise with, was unable to go on those dates, so now I have to switch the pax. Which means now I can't just pay for the room online, now it's a phone call with serious wait time. Not as bad as I thought though, they'll call me back when a rep is available. Of course when they called, I was on another call, so there that chance went. Back to the call system to schedule another call back. Which happened. Change name. No problem. Their system is working almost as well as ours. Snails pace. Then I want to apply my FCD. Rep can't find it. I can see it on my side, he can't. I give him the number, he can see it, but it's attached to another booking. No it's not, it's unassigned on my side and I have no other booking, other than the other hold, which I'm not going to utilize. But he can't see the booking it's attached to and can't help. So now I have to transfer to another dept, and hold and hold and hold, hour and a half of elevator music and of course I'm on my home phone, not cell, so I can't just put it on speaker and wait, nope it has to be attached to my ear. The next rep could see the FCD and apply. Ultimately it took a full day. About 10 hours full day. And now the log-in system on princess is broken AGAIN! SIGH!
  6. No onboard credit is 'supposed' to be used in the casino. We know differently, so does the cruise line, but they haven't figured out how to segregate ship charges from casino charges...YET. I'm sure if they ever hire someone to distinguish between the charges and change the code, we won't be able to play the casino trick anymore.
  7. I've never had a problem getting drinks in the casino. Possibly when it first opens after a port and it's crazy busy, but other than that, when my drink gets about half, the next one's on the way. And I order a bottle of water with each booze drink. Never had a problem with double delivery and nope, never been charged.
  8. If you have to sell your children, do the helicopter in Hawaii! Any of the islands, all of the islands. After our first couple flights, we started booking private. Half the cost and no other pax. Try the seaplanes too. The seafood place is sometimes open, sometimes not, but the sushi place is good and cheap, so try that. Seafood place was pricy, but worth it. I recommend the peel and eat shrimp at $10. We got at least 2 1/2 lbs for the price of a pound. The oysters were hit and miss though. Some so juicy and full of flavor, others, just briny, but I guess that's the way it is. Clams were over-breaded as was most breaded tidbits. They had several kinds of fish, from sea bass to tilapia. To me, tilapia is a garbage fish, so I didn't partake. Hubs enjoyed the crab legs, allergy here, so I didn't even sit at the same table with him. The miracle's such a weird decor. It's like everyone got to decorate one room, with no plan to meld into cohesiveness. Grapes and boobs. Grapes and boobs. Grapes and boobs. So we put googlely eyes on all the boobs. It was fun.
  9. I remember buying those tests in the 6 pack because their 3 pack was 1 penny under free shipping. And I knew we'd use them. Used every last one! So if we go on an enhanced cruise, I'll use our home tests and pay to have it observed.
  10. We booked 2 of them. Jan 31 and March 12. I already had a B2B in April. All out of SF, so minimal travel. Come on, you know you want to.
  11. Even before they added the button, any TA, PVP or princess agent could add the plus package. We've taken advantage of it several times when the base fare was really low, but with plus added at original booking, it brought the price up to an unbargain. Which ones are you joining me on? BAHAHAHA!
  12. I added plus after paying. Really easy to do on the princess website, just a click and entering a credit card.
  13. You're disappointed that you were never called back. And I understand that's why you're upset. Casino fares are only good for a short time, book um or let um expire. That's all you can do. There's no extension of dates, but that wasn't the issue.
  14. Our Panama in Sept currently has testing requirements. It could change, it might not. But at least we can now do home tests and take a picture, instead of hoping to find an appointment or doing the online test. Testing wasn't that much of a problem though.
  15. Well, I sent the email about stock onboard yesterday for the March 12 Hawaiian and it was credited this morning. That's another $250 in onboard to go with the FCD of $75. $325 onboard. $710 total inside for a 15 day cruise, that's for 2 people, both, not each! And I added princess plus after booking, so I see a lot of specialty dining in our future.
  16. Some great fares IF you have the offers and if you can drop and go. 7-Day Mexican Riviera Roundtrip from Los Angeles, California Interior from $ 50 Jan 28 7-Day Western Caribbean with Mexico Roundtrip from Galveston, Texas Interior from $ 50 Feb 5 10-Day Mexican Riviera Roundtrip from San Francisco, California Interior from $ 50 Jan 31 (we're on this one) 10-Day Panama Canal with Costa Rica & Caribbean Roundtrip from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida Interior from $ 50 March 2 5-Day Cabo San Lucas Getaway Roundtrip from Los Angeles, California Interior from $ 50 Feb 20 7-Day Eastern Caribbean with Bahamas Roundtrip from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida Interior from $ 50 Feb 26 15-Day Hawaiian Islands Roundtrip from Los Angeles, California Interior from $ 99 March 2 15-Day Hawaiian Islands Roundtrip from San Francisco, California Interior from $ 100 March 12 (we're on this one too). I checked all 3 family members and 2 friends (that I travel with, so I book the cruises for us, using my rates, because they never get them), and none of them have the offers. Make sure you are logged in and put the dates from Jan to Mar in the drop down and if you have them, the prices will show up. I didn't get any kind of email, nor do these say casino rate. I cruise a lot, 8 last year, 6 scheduled this year, actually 7 because I just booked the SF Hawaiian). And yes, I do spend some time in the casino, but my budget is $20 a day, so that shouldn't give me these kinds of rates. I don't care where the ship goes as long as it leaves from SF. I do the same itinerary over and over and have for 10 years, that's how we cruise. We don't need to get off the ship, the ship has everything we need. This is a SEVERE YOUR MILAGE MAY VARY! No guarantees you'll have the offer, but if you do and if you can go. Why not at these rates.
  17. Here's my opinion, take it as just that. Hop on hop off bus is $50 per person. If you have 2 or more people, you can hire a cab for the day for the same $100. You stop when, where and as long as you want. You keep the driver as long as you want. More advice, tell them you DON'T want to go to the jewelry store. Unless you want jewelry. Just know the stones are manufactured and not natural stones or gems. The fittings are good silver though. You can get the same jewelry on ebay for 10-20, don't be a me and pay a couple hundred.
  18. I've gotten my onboard within a couple of days recently. Love love love the idea of buying cheap stock and getting it back. I've almost hit what I paid for the stock in on-board. 2-3 more cruises will do it!
  19. The watermelon on fire is my favorite cocktail on princess. Before they opened good spirits, I'd order a strawberries on fire with a shot of dark rum. So good! Drinks are priced well within package limits. We didn't like the blue one, it tasted just like I'd blended a pine tree into booze. Not pleasant! UUKKK!
  20. As I stated in the previous post, it's princess promotions are not exactly affiliated with princess. They are an independent TA and any calls, emails or promotions should be treated as any other sales cold call. They have all your information, because they are TA's. Cruise lines let them sell like this, like any other TA. Just know, you're not dealing directly with princess. You'll get what you (over) paid for. You'll get the 7 days hotel at a less than optional hotel. You'll pay overvalued taxes and fees. Then for your cruise, you can only book through princess promotions, paying full rack rate, with no promotions. But it probably won't be a cruise you'd pick and it sure won't be the dates you want. As I said, it's a TA, cold calling.
  21. Did anyone else get a warm fuzzy feeling from the just Noro topic? Call me weird, but it was refreshingly normal to read this topic after the 3 years of not so normal. That said, our first cruise, many moons ago, my daughter and her roomie got Noro, while hubs and I didn't. Noro is thankfully fast. On the other hand, I've had covid 3 times, first on the grand princess ill-fated Feb 2020 Hawaiian, then on carnival 2022. I also got covid in the real world. And I'm vaxxed and boosted.
  22. I bought at $8.20 a share. Funded my account with $1000 and got $100 bonus after 90 days. Then when it fell to $6.XX I utilized the rest of the funding and bought another 30 shares. So far I've gotten $100, $50, $100, $250 on princess. I never get the credit on carnival, but I only book casino rates for those cruises. We're definitely princess people, carnival is too walmarty for us, LOL!
  23. I do the same B2B in April of every year. 5 day and 7 day. I get stock onboard for each cruise. If I booked as a single 12 day cruise, I'd get $100, but as 2 cruises I get $50 and $100. 2 (14) day cruises are worth $250 each. If there's no price difference, I'd be booking 2 cruises, because a single 28 day will only get the $250, while 2 (14) will be $500.
