  1. Usually the cost is about $60. If you do the first night you can get it for $30. We have done this on our last 3 cruises on a silhouette class so they would probably have it on your reflection too. In my experience Celebrity doesn't do as much with sales as Royal. Always just look at the bottom price.
  2. You can look on your app and see what the current menus are. They are on a 10 night cruise right now though. You might be able to see your cruise but I'm not sure.
  3. Thanks for the review! It's fun reliving it again now that we are back to reality..lol We felt the same about the staff. Every single one we met or walked past was so welcoming and helpful. Your pictures are beautiful! We didn't realize all that was going on in Miami either but that explains the really high prices. We usually go in March but decided to change next cruise to Feb and go out of Fort Lauderdale.
  4. Where did you end up going? Would love to hear how it went.
  5. Did you go there from Puerta Plata cruise terminal? Google is saying it's a 45 minute drive. Were there people renting chairs there?
  6. Does anyone recognize this location/overlook? I believe that it's on the St. Martin side.
  7. Did you rent chairs or just eat at the restaurant? I'm curious how much they were charging.
  8. We got our own taxi. I want to say they are regulated there. There was a taxi stand once you walk out the port on the right. There were 3 of us and we paid around $25 each way. It was a pretty quick ride over.
  9. Thanks for the pictures. I have seen those online already. I was looking for some personal photos they might have taken that day.
  10. Does anyone know if you can you purchase an extra chair if you have 3 people?
  11. Yes, there are lots. They will all come up to you once you leave the gates.
  12. Where is the ferry in regards to the cruise ship port?
  13. We have been there twice by taxi. Last time was march 22. I'm sorry but I can not remember exactly how much we paid per person. I think it was $10 each way and probably cost us around $60 round trip. There was 3 of us and he came back and got us at a time we asked. At carambola it cost $10 each for chair and umbrella, facilities included and wifi.
  14. We were there last March and there was very little beach. It was also high tide tide.
  15. Thanks for the review. Do you have any pictures to share?
  16. We have always enjoyed Carambola Beach Club. They charge $10 each for chair and umbrella. Includes access to their facilities and wifi. They do have food and drink available. We always walk down to the shipwreck beach bar too.
  17. Thanks for posting! What did you do in Puerto Plata? Did you walk around in Taino Bay or go into the town?
  18. There wasn't a slide that I remember. We walked up to the base of the waterfall and hung around there. Some people climbed a little bit higher and jumped off You can get an idea from the pictures. The one is the entire waterfall and the other is the base where we were hanging out.
  19. It would say middle of the road. It's not an easy walk. I would not recommend for young children or any kind of mobility issues. It was a little much for my MIL who had just turned 75. I'm not super athletic and I was able to handle. You are walking through the woods so will encounter different levels of terrain. You do climb on rocks so definitely have sturdy shoes.
  20. Thanks for doing a review. Looks like it's off to a good start. We were on the same trip in May and had such a fun time!
  21. Here is a thread from the other day. Royal has said that they are not allowing prebooking anymore.
  22. You will be charged for the whole cocktail price.
  23. Have a great time!! Sounds like you are all ready! RC will send you a survey at the end. We always like to keep a note on our phone of things we want to include...any names of people that we came in contact with that we want to acknowledge or any other suggestion/positive remarks about the sailing. This way we don't forget anything.
