  1. Wondering if anyone has had issues with parking at the cruise terminal in Baltimore. We parked in early October for an 8 night cruise and upon return our car wouldn't start ~ it kept sputtering. We had filled up the tank the morning we left so it didn't make sense. Our mechanic thought it might be the fuel pump and subsequently it was towed to a local Jeep dealer. After their diagnostic tests we were informed that there was no fuel in the car. Has anyone else had any such issues when parking in Baltimore?
  2. Yes, I'm referring to the Vibe. I can sail Royal Caribbean and use the solarium area which is adult only for no charge.
  3. We sailed the Legend earlier this year and they were no different that the other times we've sailed. Maybe your incident was a one-off due to supply chain.
  4. We got one on the Legend in August but they were also giving out medallions.
  5. I read an article from one of the cruise websites yesterday that said Royal will not go back to being able to make reservations for shows pre-sail like they did before Covid. Sounds like everything will be only after boarding. If I can find the article again, I'll post a link.

  8. Hello Everyone ~ I have been receiving casino offers from Royal Caribbean for cabins; sometimes inside, sometimes oceanview, etc. but never any "casino cash" like the offers I get from Carnival. Does anyone get "casino cash" offers? I was wondering if it is dependent on how much you spend in the casino. Thanks.
  9. It's really just a matter of supply and demand. Our homeport is Baltimore but sometimes it's cheaper to fly to Florida to sail. Go figure.
  10. This must be specific to Royal because we have sailed Carnival out of Baltimore (most recently in August) and the casino opens once we pass the Key Bridge which is only about 45 minutes from sail away.
  11. That would be a lovely idea; I always have fresh flowers on my kitchen island ~ just a little personal treat. Your best bet would be to contact the cruise line directly and ask. If you do, and get a response, please post the outcome. Enjoy your cruise.
  12. But once everyone is onboard (and usually it's at least 30 minutes) before the ship sails, there is no competition with land-based casinos because you cannot get on or off the ship at that point.
  13. I got the offer but in re-reviewing the post I see it was her husband who got the offer. In that case they may not let her sail because he isn't there. Boo.
  14. I actually called about this exact scenario because there was a good possibility that my spouse would not be able to cruise due to business issues. I was told if you cancel you lose whatever you paid, but if spouse was a no-show, they would refund any port charges and because it's a casino cruise they will not charge double fare.
  15. I can't answer that specifically, but we sail from Baltimore and have the 8 hour trip down the Chesapeake Bay, but because you really can't go anywhere else to get to the open international waters, the casinos open about 45 minutes after sail away once we pass the Francis Scott Key Bridge. Hope it's similar for you.
  16. Thank you for this review. We are also adults who sail without children. We have sailed all four of the other Disney ships numerous times and have been reading reviews. As you said, people who are seasoned Disney cruisers have expressed a lot of complaints, but we always like to see things for ourselves. Looking forward to our upcoming cruise.
  17. Check the Cruise Maryland website; they do have listings for hotels and transportation services.
  18. I worked at the Baltimore Port for many years (retired now) and did some time in the Cruise Department under the previous manager. They used to get awards from the cruise lines for how well they handled embarkation. Don't know what's happening now, but even with Covid, etc., sailing from NY, NJ, and Florida is a much smoother process. We have a cruise coming up soon from Baltimore and I'm dreading it because our last two were horrible. At least you end up on the ship!
  19. I may get the courage to say that one day. I hate feeling like I'm insulting someone but..........you're right, it's probably best to just say it politely and move on!
  20. Few, if any, people read their cruise contract but it clearly states that the cruise line has the right to make changes to the itinerary, and they could be for a varied number of reasons. I would have been thrilled with your "meager" $100 OBC. Things happen in life, don't be so entitled.
  21. I've seen people on all the cruise lines wearing shirts warning people that they purchased the drink package. Not being judgy, but I sure wouldn't advertise that I had a drinking issue.
  22. Totally agree with you pcvtmom ~ we have never witnessed any of the awful fights that we have seen recently on Youtube, but I will say that some other behaviors continue like grown men walking into the Lido deck shirtless and shoeless, regardless of the signage saying otherwise. Unfortunately, this type of behavior is going on all over the place these days. People seem to think it's okay for them to break the rules. Hope your future cruises are trouble free.
  23. How do you tell a server that they need to stop showering in their aftershave. On our last cruise we couldn't go to the dining room after the second night; the smell was so overwhelming that it made me feel sick to the stomach!
