  1. Of course, but everyone has to have a say on the subject, no matter how many times repeated.
  2. Isn't that the purpose of Cruise Critic, having a discussion about the pros & cons of anything? If just posting one individual answer were sufficient there wouldn't be much need for a bulletin board at all.
  3. Aside from one news channel for the US passengers the other remaining ones (2 or 3) are for the European folks.
  4. Ah yes, gratuities. I still haven't gotten used to the new acronyms. Without any package, they can be adjusted up or down. You must have a very low threshold. You should be having 4 or 5 drinks early in the morning before you leave the ship.
  5. How many times do you lose your card or medallion? I can't say it's ever happen to me.
  6. I'm not sure what CA is but I doubt that I can't live without it. Wi-Fi is something I defiantly don't need. So what items are really left except alcoholic drinks and if it's a port intensive cruise it's very difficult to justify when you're not on the ship all day. All the remaining items don't add up to that much for many to buy into the package.
  7. Sorry, I didn't realize I had responded previously in this same thread. There seem to be many of them lately.
  8. Simply because it's answered to the satisfaction of the person that posts it and doesn't take into account of any other opinions.
  9. Be ready to get on an early tender as soon as they begin to hand out boarding tickets.
  10. At the very least, the buffet area offer's more selections & room to mover around in.
  11. Your cabin steward can always get his hands on one to lend you.
  12. They do a great job to convivence most of their passengers to buy into on of their packages. Some folks can't bear the thought of sailing without it even when the cost can be up to 1/3 the cost of the cruise alone.
  13. We haven't been on it in 10 years and I can only imagine how bad the condition is today. There are so many better choices then to spend time on the CP.
  14. It's not one of their best ships, that's for sure.
  15. I wouldn't doubt that they've hashed it over many times to see what else they could remove from a standard sailing. They seem to have cut the basics to the bone right now. What's left? Possibly cutting our Elite laundry or at least putting a cap on it. Maybe eliminating the cabin setup?
  16. I've often wondered why they say things like that....possibly to get an additional tip for special service?
  17. You can always switch everything out for a bottle of wine to carry home.
  18. It wasn't on our TV the last time we were on the Royal.
  19. We always carry all our own luggage on with us, not just the smaller bags. We enjoy the convenience of having it there immediately after lunch and not have to wait for it to be delivered.
  20. Now you made me look up that guys name- it was Joel Meyers and he was just as bad on TV as on the ship. He wasn't wearing a kilt, although maybe he should have to make the show more interesting. All his tricks were stuff you can buy at a magic shop and they weren't very good 25 years ago. Sad, but he's the best that Princess can afford lately. 😉
  21. Dressings up has never been a requirement to have you picture taken.
  22. They did have escargot but perhaps it was on the New Years cruise. I can't recall for sure which cruise it was.
  23. First of all I don't plan on buying a "package" in the future as it's way to expensive even if you do hit the max number of 15. Yes we do bring numerous bottles of wine with us on the ship and have never paid them a cent corkage. (you have to know how to get around the charge.) Lastly, I didn't say I drank all of those 15 drinks I ordered. The package is definitely not cost effective for occasional drinkers.
  24. It was the same thing on the Enchanted at Christmas. Lots of confusion.
