  1. You'll find Princess to be much more calm & laid back than Carnival. Enjoy the Princess line for what they offer & mostly for what they don't.
  2. We've done as many of the Royal class ships as the others and for our money the most important thing is the food, so we'll be staying with the Royal class (and newer). Yes, they do have problems with noise in the Piazza but we work around it without much effort and still get to experience the newer options that class offers. Itineraries don't mean that much as we sail the Caribbean most times with the ship being our destination.
  3. A paint job would be the least of my worries considering the age of the ship. Plumbing issues and bad AC would be at the top of my concerns.
  4. Just like their meatloaf. I'll pass on both of them.
  5. We've had the included steak a couple of times and it's hit or miss with the quality & flavor.
  6. As you noticed, many things have changed over the years and not for the better. Fettuccine Alfredo used to be great, now it's just passable under the guise of being more healthy.
  7. If I gave something like that to my cat, I would find it on the floor when she threw it back up.
  8. Longer cruises? I don't think you talking about 10 or 14 day trips.
  9. I believe that's where Princess sends all their old ships just before selling them.
  10. You must be really fast eaters. BTW- did they let you order more than one of their appetizers without charging you extra?
  11. I doubt it would occur but considering the way people dress lately, it really wouldn't make much difference anyway.
  12. It's a good thing we all don't prefer the same type ships, otherwise the prices would be higher than they are now. 😄
  13. Even though you would be slightly earlier they still would have seated you. From what I've seen the times are only approximate, especially the earlier ones.
  14. Thant's exactly what I was talking about. Bring you own from home that I bought last cruise in the Caribbean.
  15. Congrads. Wish you many more miles.
  16. Just a thought, but if you were consistently late for the show, why not arrive a little earlier so you can get a decent seat.
  17. Sure, things can happen to new ships just like the old ones but considering the age of the older Princess ships, I'll take my chances with the newer ones. Been there, done that many times to learn it for myself. That's why I get rid of my car every few years. Even with maintenance, the older they are the more that goes wrong.
  18. The smaller the ship, the smaller the selections at the buffet. I'm surprised they even had two to choose from. 😉
  19. Yes, it can happen on any ship at any time but considering the age of those older ships, it more likely to occur as well as plumbing blockages and overall appearances such as rust, sagging mattresses, wear and tear, etc.
