I agree that shows have always been good. My comments are generally about music at Cove, Avenue, Palm Court and pool deck.

I am a big fan of Crystal however I think they still have some things to sort out. I have been on 2 Crystal cruises in the last 9 months. I think they need to work on entertainment around the ship. I really miss the band that played on the pool deck at lunch. DJ just standing g there playing covers is boring. Before BK they also had some duos that played more current music in Cove and Palm Court. Again, DJ in Cove playing covers not working. The singer/piano players in Avenue haven’t been very good. Maybe time to change that up a bit. How about a band in Palm Court at night that doesn’t always cater to ballroom dancers. Anyone else agree or have thoughts in this regard? Seabourn seems to be doing some fun things at night that are still on par with a luxury line suitable to older guest. Maybe take a look at what they are doing.

It sounds like Crystal may need to rethink ballroom dancing or at least the venue. On another topic, thoughts on face-timing and talking on speaker phone in restaurants and lounges on the ship. On my last two Crystal cruises it was out of control. It seems as though Crystal should create a policy and train staff on enforcement of the policy. Is this just the world we live in now? Would love to hear from others.

Hello all. I am a frequent Crystal cruiser however I am looking at a cruise on the Grandeur for the itinerary and time of year I want to travel. I am asking for thoughts and comparisons and what to expect on Grandeur. Are included excursions good?In 50s and active so would want some active excursions. Typical age of Regent cruiser? Night time venues with music? Thanks.

Thoughts on ballroom dancing in Palm Court before and after dinner. They have a very good duo in Palm Court however they cater to the 3-4 ballroom dancers and the AHs. It would be nice to hear more current music and promote dancing that is not ballroom. I have heard similar comments from other cruisers. I know some will say that is what Pulse is for but it is so small and not open until late. Thoughts?

Hmmm….i was just about to pay deposit for 2025 Pursuit cruise in Kimberly’s and Pacific. Based on this review I don’t think this is the cruise for me. I was on Venture in Greenland and Iceland in 2023. Good cruise and expedition experience. One exception was we had folks on board that tried to do excursions beyond their physical abilities. It caused issues for others on the excursions.

Well, the cruise was cancelled however Crystal rerouted Symphony so we basically get to do the same cruise in the opposite direction Mumbai to Cape Town (with a discounted price). Im booked on that cruise. Crystal took good care of us on this one.

I had two different cruises cancelled. I had paid in full in advance for my 2025 cancelled cruise to get the 20% discount. I am booking one of the new alternatives in 2025. Should I not get the 20% (not 15% offered) off for this rebooking? Also, can the discounts Crystal offered for cancelled cruise be combined with other offers, i.e onboard booking or exceptional initiative?

Crystal just came out with new alternatives. I decided to book a couple of those. I think Regent could be an option in the future.

Sorry, I don’t see any change on website. I still see my cruise Athens to Mumbai on website. I am sure being cancelled but I don’t see an alternative shown. Am I missing something?

My husband and I have sailed on many cruises. Our favorite is Crystal and we have also sailed many Seabourn cruises. We have a couple of upcoming cruises on Crystal that are probably getting cancelled….one through Suez in December and the other in March 2025 that is two legs of a their World Cruise in which it looks like they are rerouting. We can’t find an itinerary we like to substitute in December on Crystal so we are looking at Regent Voyager cruise. Thoughts? Comparisons?

I know they used to have Karaoke but not sure anymore. They usually had it about once a week. The songs offered were old and new. The Karaoke nights could be hit or miss depending on the demographic of the specific cruise.

Hmmm….looks like this may be cancelled. I hope they let us know soon as I would most likely book whatever alternative they offer. Otherwise I may look at other cruise line itineraries during that time as I need time to sort out flights, etc.

Hello. I see that Crystal is looking at drastic changes to the 2025 World Cruise. These changes would result in my March 2025 cruise to be cancelled. Bummer. It looks like my December 2024 will probably be cancelled or drastically changed. Wondering when Crystal will let me know. What alternatives? How will refunds be handled? I have always been a big fan ofCrystal. I know these things happen but how it is handled can make or break how I feel about Crystal.

Has anyone heard anything about this cruise? Thanks.

My husband and I cruised on the Venture. It was a very good experience and it felt like a luxury expedition cruise. The submarine was awesome. The one issue was there were excursions and zodiac trips in which people participated that were not physically able. If created problems/delays for the other guests. Tough situation for Seabourn.
