My agent is one of Princess's top agents. She indicated the only clients who are getting refunds are those who contested it with their credit cards. She has not seen any refunds come through from Princess. This says a lot. She is constantly in contact with Princess inquiring about her clients and is not getting any answers. She is as frustrated as we are.

Sent my credit card dispute this morning after over 60 days.

For those of you who paid quite a while ago and are concerned that your credit card company won't file a dispute, give it a try. We have a Chase Reserve and I just called to file a dispute for our Feb 13 Sapphire cruise booked on July 4, 2019. They are processing the 4 disputed charges made from July 4 through October 25. Right now I'm waiting for the form to come from Chase to fill out, but they are working on it. The wait time wasn't bad either, the entire call took less than 20 minutes.

We'll see how it works out, if we can get the cash refund we will then work on getting the promised FCC's.

I forgot to ask how long we should expect it to take, has anyone been given an estimate from Chase?

Your situation is almost exactly as ours. We had 4 charges and I could dispute one of them online since that payment was  in January 2020. Waiting on the form to dispute the other 3. Chase put those funds back in my account the next morning . Those are temporary until they review the claim. At least I feel I am doing something!

Agree with you!  How long are we to be patient?  We applied for and received CONFIRMATION of our request for Option #1 FCC on MARCH 15TH.  Today is MAY 7th.  Seems we have been VERY patient.  We have gotten NOTHING from Princess concerning this compensation since March 15th.  No refunds, no FCCs., no emails, nada!
We are no longer confident that Princess is going to giving refunds or FCC and we are afraid that they will soon go bankrupt (especially after the lawsuits that I am sure are being teed up).  Which means we all are going to be screwed.
I am, currently on the line with Princess for some answers....30 minutes and counting.....now they are transferring me to customer relations where someone can answer my questions!  Hmmm?  Thought I was talking to customer relations?

I talked to customer relations on Tuesday. Was told 60-90 days and that is based on the date of the cruise. When I asked what cruises they are working on, she said April!! I said so date of cancellation means nothingL She said that is correct. We know April is wrong since some people haven't got refunds from February cruises!!

Just a temporary credit pending review of my documentation which I faxed to them yesterday. The letter they sent said they’d reverse the credit and close out the claim if I didn’t supply appropriate information by 5/12 (10 days after CC dispute).

I have Chase Sapphire Preferred. How did you initiate the dispute? I have the form. Did you mail everything in to CHASE? It says to click on the transactions you want to dispute. However, when I click nothing happens. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

FCD was reinstated with the original expiration date to my Princess account a couple of weeks ago.

4/29/20 cruise (booked and paid on 2/25/2020) was canceled by Princess on 3/12.

    NO refund yet

NO FCC posted that was promised with Option 2.

Sidebar: I disputed the charge on 4/14/20.  On 5/1/20 I spoke to the PVP asking her when to expect my refund. She checked and our booking showed that Princess had "accepted the charge-back" on April 19.  The final charge reversal has not shown up on my Chase Credit card yet.   I called Chase and they said the charge-back was posted, but because of Chase's backlog it might take a few days for the final credit to be applied to my account.  As always they said to wait until I get a letter from them with details of the dispute resolution.   Waiting and watching and slightly encouraged.

Second sidebar:  The FCD that was returned to my account is scheduled to expire 5/19/20.   I'm curious if it will be refunded as quickly as expired FCDs have been in the past.

I have Chase Sapphire and was told I could still file dispute. Did you upload all your information on line or mail them the information? I am having trouble finding the site and then are not taking phone calls. Thanks

I just now sent email through that ‘contact Us’ FEEDBACK option at bottom of princess web. Not many options so I picked ‘post cruise’ and ‘other’ as options.  I filled in my booking number as it knew the rest . I just asked to confirm my refund is in the queue .

    we shall see.

I did the exact same thing and got nothing other than a generic email!

Curious with the current circumstances if anyone is putting down deposits on new reservations. I have three future cruises already scheduled, which I am not intending to cancel. But not sure I want to give them any additional money right now with such uncertainty.

I am considering a new booking in early February 2021. Just not happy about a 500.00 nonrefundable deposit. That is what stopping me at the present time.

This extension of voluntary pause (which I originally saved on 4/14) can still be found on the Princess web site here

    https://www.princess.com/downloads/pdf/plan/impacted-and-cancelled-cruises/extension-voluntary-pause-2020.pdf

Alternately I found it on the site under News Release - APril 14th, then select the link for details about cancelled cruises which brings you to the "Information on Impacted & cancelled cruise which has been updated today 4/29. Then I selected the PDF details for Summer 2020 Cruises & Cruisetours Departing May 11 – June 30, 2020 and Beyond

This notice is almost word for word the email I received on 4/14 - the only thing missing is the listing of impacted cruises. Note after the chart listing the 2 options this paragraph. The bolded  and underlining are mine:

"Given the volume of requests and the care being dedicated to make sure each booking is handled accurately, it may take up to 60 days from the date we receive your preference for refunds and FCCs to be processed. Please allow sufficient time for us to manage this process and know we are issuing them in order based on the original sailing date and doing everything in our power to expedite where possible"
