Good to know thanks. Was your EZ air non-refundable? We were going to cancel our April cruise and takes our losses anyway. We now want to take up the offer of cancelling and getting fcc. If we also get our airfares back for future use that would be a big bonus.
EZ Air was also refundable as credit back to credit card or FCC depending on how far out your cruise is booked.

I can understand Princess including the EZAir fare in the credit, but I was wondering that since it was ticketed whether the airline would charge a cancellation fee? That didn't happen?
No cancellation fee but I had paid to have seat choice. Currently trying to get this refunded. We shall see.

Thank you for the info! Did you work through a travel agent or directly through Princess?
When you cancelled at noon, was the new temporary cancellatIon policy in effect yet?
I had heard rumors of an email coming out about changes in cancellation policy yesterday morning. I called Princess and they said no changes. I called my TA and he said no changes. So I cancelled thru my TA with the cancellation fee. I contacted him today since the email is dated yesterday and wanted to know about my status. He stated Princess is "sweeping the system" and I will be getting the FCC but it could take 15-30 business days to show up.

Thanks, was it given back as FCC or go back in your credit card?
I cancelled yesterday. The cancellation fee from yesterday (which is now a FCC today) was a little less than the EZAir amount so I am assuming it went back to the credit card. Nothing has been credited yet.

I’m wondering the same. I will call my TA in a few days at after the dust settles. They will be bombarded.
I’m glad Princess did this during this extraordinary time.
I cancelled yesterday around noon with 1078.00 cancellation. Fee. I was told this morning it will be given as a FCC.

We also have that credit card & we got the same answer that pandemics or corona virus is not covered My contention is that my booklet of benefits from August 2018 has NO words that pandemics are not insured .Hmmm? when did they change that language ? Was it after they knew that the virus was spreading ?
I have a book dated 7/23/14 and it is not listed as a reason for not getting Trip Cancellation Insurance. When I get the booklet online, there is one sentence that states trip cancellation will be denied when " Trip disinclination is due to epidemic or pandemic. Date is 12/1/19.

I have trip cancellation and trip interruption insurance thru my credit card. I have contacted my travel agent and the insurance. I was told by everyone I talked to that since it has been declared an epidemic by the CDC that insurances will not cover, even cancel for no reason. They said to read the fine print. I would advise checking with your insurance, etc and see what you hear. Please let us know.

Hi,
What are the seas like for a British Isles Cruise in MAY? There has been very strong storms recently and this week has been bad. Thanks!

Yes, credit cards are widely accepted. I recommend a Visa over others, and check your card for foreign transaction fees as well. I'm not sure if la Valette Underground Military Museum accepts cards or not. It's been some time since I was in there.
When paying cash, you are likely to receive Guernsey pounds in change, but you can ask for British pounds or UK pounds. I've yet to meet a shopkeeper that wouldn't oblige. And if you give a £20 and get £8 in Guernsey pounds in exchange, I'm certain there's a pub or two in town that would be happy to trade those pesky notes for a pint or two 😉
Thanks for your reply!!

Can you use credit cards at most places in Guernsey? What about entrance into LaVallette Underground Military MUSEUM? I have heard you can pay with GBP but will receive change is Guernsey pound but it can only be used there. I would prefer to use credit as much as possible. Thanks.

It looks like there is a lot of things to do within walking distance of the port in Liverpool. Is the HOHO bus near there and can you purchase tickets the same day?? Any suggestions? Thanks

Yes-- its the same app. It will charge you in pounds so make sure you have a credit card linked up to it that doesn't charge any foreign transaction fees.
Thanks so much!!

Thats usually what I pay. When I get into Heathrow at 7-8am after an overnight from the US East Coast its never not been that rate. The only time I've seen Uber edge up a bit more expensive is when I take the morning flight that gets into Heathrow same day around 8pm and even then its usually only £5 more.
Stupid question #1. Do you use the same Uber app as in the US? Have never been to Europe so need HELP! Lol

I usually just Uber when I land at Heathrow and it's about £40 to the area your hotel is-- its a lot less expensive than hailing one of London's famous black cabs. There's also an app called Free Now which works like Uber but offers up taxis and van taxis instead of private cars-- the fares they charge are usually much less than actually hailing the same taxi in a taxi rank.
Thanks for the information!
