Yes.  The Princess rep I spoke to last week said to expect the refund by May 12th.  Cancellation March 12th. So I will give them a couple of days grace.

Have you received any of your FCC? We have not. Some people are getting their FCC but no refunds to their credit card. Right now, I only  care about my refunds. Very frustrating and concerning.

So I am one of the few who has received their FCC back (and their refund to my debit card). I still haven’t received my check for the reimbursement (Hotel, airfare upgrades, etc..)  but Princess had called and let me know it was approved and on its way.

Anyway, I say that to give context, today I called my big online travel agent to apply my FCC (that show up in both of our accounts) and I stayed on hold while she called Princess. We have a cruise booked next February that I wanted to apply the balance to. She came back on the line and told me that cruise doesn’t qualify for the FCC.

The TA didn’t understand why and she got a supervisor who confirmed that not all cruises apply. She (Princess supervisor) said she would research it and call me back on Monday afternoon to be sure.

It does say on my FCC:

Not all credits are combinable or available on every voyage and/or itinerary.
Please contact your travel agent or call 1-800-PRINCESS for details.

So, my question is do these credits only apply to new bookings that the price has already been jacked up to make up for the FCC? I did a couple checks next year for things I had looked at before and they were quite a bit more expensive. My February cruise is now $1200 more when I did a mock booking. We did really get a good deal.

Anyone else who got their FCC run into this when trying to apply it?

When did you cancel your cruise and what was the date of your cancellee cruise? Thanks, just trying to make some sense of this mess??

    Yes, it is weird.

I think I mentioned previously that I had a client booked on the same sailing as me. I cancelled her cruise the same day as I cancelled my own - the only difference being that I cancelled hers via the online portal that TAs use and I called in to cancel mine since it was booked with a reduced rate. She received refundable amounts to her credit card within 4 days. No FCCs as yet. I received nothing. I spoke to a rep about my personal cruise and she was able to see that the booking had been cancelled and was able to give the $$$ amount for refund and said the difference would be FCC. She gave me the standard 60 day line and could not explain why my client had already received her refund but I hadn't. Honestly, they see what is on the screen and that is it. Today, the webinar I was on specified April 30th for all FCCs from the first batch of cancellations to be completed. If I still have not seen anything by then I plan on calling and following up again.

Did they mention when credit card refunds would be issued?? Thanks.

As long as the sailing was part of those that Princess later cancelled, they are included. There are a few of us on here in that category and still waiting - I am wondering if they have fallen between the cracks since we cancelled rather than Princess.

That is correct that we are included. However, I called Princess and they say I am in the process and they say I have not fallen thru the cracks. We shall see. It is very confusing!!

Did you cancel or did Princess cancel you?  Unless my memory is totally gone the Princess cancellations started March 12.  If you cancelled  a week earlier that may be problematic.

We cancelled on March 5th and Princess did the cancellations on March 6th. They have told us 60 days but the question is from where?  Why would it be problematic?

  7. I cancelled my May 4, 2020, cruise on March 5, 2020. On that day, I was told the amount I would receive in cash and FCC. On that day, I was told the refund would be made in 10-15 days. The story has since changed to 30 days, 30 BUSINESS days, 30-60 days, and now 60 days from last day of cruise!!! I was told by Chase that I can file a protest after 60 days. Ready to do that.

Did you request a refund? Our May 23 cruise was just canceled yesterday. We have until May 31 to request a refund. Otherwise, it turns into a FCC.

Trying to gather information regarding length of time between cancellation and possible refunds. Requested refund on 3/5/20 with no refund yet.

On their website, the Q&A says 60 days.  We filed for our refund on March 12, so May 13th is the date we will file a dispute if the refund has not been received.

Depending on what Princess Rep you talk to, they now say 60 business days. They told me it doesnt matter what the cancellation date is (3-5-20 for me), it is the oldest cruise first. Said they are just getting a cancellation team together! I dont believe anything they say.
