  1. I would not advise it. My last two cruises were Alaska and Iceland /Norway. Too cold and I saw maybe 3 people there. For similar pricing, I would recommend the thermal spa. They have floor to ceiling windows and watching that scenery was amazing from those heated loungers.
  2. Certainly is insane. We just did a 10 day NCL cruise from Iceland and with three extra days and this 7 day Disney cruise from Southampton will definitely cost more. It will be a fabulous trip. I just have to appreciate the time spent with my mom for a milestone birthday . Life is short.
  3. Loving the review so far! Really want to do this itinerary since itā€™s just a train ride away. Canā€™t wait to tag along. Enjoy!!!
  4. ' Thank you. That's the one I meant! I just put a hold on the reservation and will let my mom decide for sure if this is what she wants. Just returned to Southampton about two weeks ago on NCL prima, so I will definitely be excited to explore another stop in England since we only had a day in London once we departed.
  5. It sucks, but no. I went to gold during last cruise, and I will go to platinum next one. Just have to keep cruising šŸ˜œ
  6. I was just on the prima with NCL air booked last month. We had zero issues besides an hour delay. Our connections were great from Philadelphia. Philly - Boston - Reykjavik london- Montreal - Philly I recommend going a day before on the front end. I will use them again next time.
  7. Hey folks! Iā€™m taking my mom on a Disney cruise next year for her 60th. Disney Magic out of Southampton. Should I book now or will there be a Black Friday/cyber Monday offer? I sail NCL primarily. Itā€™s a never ending sale with their marketing department. Any assistance is appreciated.
  8. Very interesting to read. My mother turns 60 next year and mentioned wanting to go on a Disney cruise. I am pretty loyal to NCL and just got off the prima on a trip to Iceland/Norway (I think half the ship got covid on there too). Anyways, we wanted to do a Europe trip and just came by to search some thoughts on the Disney Dream. With paying this much for their sailings and seeing these reviews, is it really worth it? It will be her birthday present and can't really seem to persuade her to sailing my usual line, so it will ultimately be up to her.
  9. We had an overcast morning, but it cleared up by 11and turned out to be a spectacular day.
  10. I thought the once a day service was more than sufficient. When I was talking with our housekeep, I was explaining how physically demanding my job is and he explained how busy his days are. Itā€™s exhausting. They really work hard.
  11. Following along! Have a wonderful cruise. It's so exciting to see the countdown in double digits and then single digits. I have always wanted to do this itinerary living close to NYC... one day. Enjoy!
  12. Loving this. You did everything I debated doing. I really debated doing the Trolls tour, but really wanted to make the climb up and see the view of Alesund. I was really happy with how we spent the day since the morning fog lifted. Looks like an enjoyable tour you had!
  13. Iā€™m hoping you meant 2024. šŸ˜. We had jet blue to Boston and then Iceland air to Reykjavik. I usually do American. Jet blue was god awful and Iceland air was one of the best, except for the red eye. Barely slept. On the way back we had air Canada all the way, stopping in Montreal. Loved them!!! Staff were great. Once NCL gave us the air details I was able to choose the fire exit row for all flights for that extra leg room.
  14. Loving your review!!! This was an overall fantastic trip. Wish we had an extra day in Reykjavik to do the southern coast tour, but went with the golden circle. Can't wait to read the rest of your cruise. Our group all mentioned we would love to do the Haven one time.
  15. 1 day back from Europe and I'm already searching for the next cruise. lol. Still haven't even had to go back to work yet.
  16. Just got off the Prima sailing from Reykjavik and highly recommend it. Spend two days beforehand if possible.
  17. What are you thinking for your next cruise? would you do the prima next or wait? Personally, I'm thinking of going back to the breakaway class or older.
  18. @golden6911 love the ranking of the restaurants. I was getting quite worried about the prima and the two big flaws you mentioned, especially those weights in the gym above a spa. *****!? that never occurred to anyone when designing this ship?
  19. i usually wait for triple point sales and airfare and all the other crap. Lol.
  20. Iā€™m waiting until Black Friday / cyber Monday deals to book for 2025:
  21. Unfortunately, since we did a tour, we only had 2 hours there from 5pm (17:00) until 7pm (19:00). We were so starved though we just grabbed a grab and go sandwich. $25 for that!
