ArriveCan app. Is this needed going to Canada?
Arubamoose replied to SlightDraw's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I downloaded it and filled it out for our cruise in three days. Received an email from them and printed out the QR code just as a back up. -
In-Store Molecular (NAAT) tests
Arubamoose replied to jamesnnb's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We get them at either CVS or Walgreens. Walgreens is a little more forward in the questions that it asks you to answer and you can only make an appointment three days in advance. CVS does not ask travel questions and you can schedule up to two weeks in advance. I have not been charged for the last two CVS appointments and I have Medicare. -
We actually had one of those round porthole balconies up front and enjoyed it. My friend had an IV room and I didn't really care for it.

Just check to see what are the tide times. We will be there in a few weeks and low tide is before we arrive and by the time we get there we wouldn't be able to walk out to the caves or really see the rocks. We decided to pass on any excursions this time around. Maybe third cruise will be the charm!

ArriveCAN app required for Canada
Arubamoose replied to Arizona Wildcat's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Is it better/easier to download the app on your phone or to do it on a desktop with the link provided above? I can go either way. TIA -
We are driving to the Enchantment this August and will probably bring a case of seltzer. I don't mind schlepping it. They usually don't carry seltzer - they do have club soda which has a ton of sodium in it which is a no-no on my diet. Their water is fine but I find my legs and feet swell if I drink too much of it. Again - sodium.

Oasis: boardwalk view or park view?
Arubamoose replied to rrraydon's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We booked the last cabin deck 9 port side on the Oasis (not the suite) for kicks and giggles. I was happy I did. Got to see the Aqua Show from the balcony and their rehersals. Got to see the ocean (sort of). Lots of activities during the day. Impromptu dancing from Johnny Rockets staff. Got to watch the folks climbing the rock wall. It was a bit noisy but nothing terrible. Enjoyed the action. Would I book it again? NOPE. Why? The walk. It felt like a mile hike to get to the room. It was fun, but once was enough. -
Celebrity Cruise Agents not answering their phones
Arubamoose replied to tonylander's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I wanted to upgrade from a Classic to a Premium beverage package before the sale was over. If I could have done it on line - I would have. I was home on Tuesday doing stuff around the house so I just let the phone keep going. Was on hold for almost 3 hours until they picked up. They couldn't fully help as they had to go to a supervisor. She called me back about an hour later. -
Suggestions for good games to bring onboard
Arubamoose replied to Florida_cruisers's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Phase 10 - you can play with multiple people. -
The way the airlines have been lately - I would not even think about it. Don't need that stress. What are your options if you miss that flight? One with a connection? Or no other flight? Cost? And I agree - on a good day FCO is a zoo. IMO - Only one airport is worse - FRA.

Cost of Upgrade to Premium Liquor Package Price
Arubamoose replied to Vegasd4430's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Do they ever run sales on the upgrade from Classic to Premium? If not - is it cheaper to do it before you board? If it is the same price - I would prefer to give a cut to my new best friend bartender at the Martini Bar on the Edge. 😉😉 -
Stockholm vasa and highlights tour
Arubamoose replied to lionheart's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We docked across from the Vasa Museum and took a ferry there. Go early. Vasa was amazing! No need to do RCCL tour. Save your money. -
Just got back from the GE from A to B on the Modi. I agree with all that pontac wrote. Things are very fluid from day to day. Timings may be off because of things beyond their control. We were supposed to dock in Passau but had to dock elsewhere because two of the windows in the dining room were broken and that was where they needed to be to get them fixed. We were bussed instead.

Enough with all the moaning = Celebrity Cruises, you rock!
Arubamoose replied to Miaminice's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We have been on quite a number of Celebrity cruises. Big fan. Let me tell you why. We were on the last viable pre-Covid cruise on the Eclipse in March 2020. 2 weeks out of Buenos Aries around the horn. We were also on the next cruise up to San Diego. We get to Brazil just as their first Covid case breaks out. Cruise is to end in Santiago Chile on March 15. Worldwide cruising shuts down March 14. We were to be booted off the ship. Problem was Chile would not let us get off or even dock. Long story short - Celebrity got us back to San Diego on our scheduled date of March 30. We got a free cruise and top shelf open bar and free wifi and they paid for a new flight home when we cancelled it to fly out of Santiago. They didn't have to refund our cruise, liquor us up and entertain us. But they did. So big fan. Have 4 more cruises booked with them. Cruising is a big peril now. Just returned from a Viking River cruise. Everyday testing. If you were positive you got dumped at the next port. Depending on your insurance - sometimes they assisted, sometimes they didn't. We got lucky.
